Digital Copywriter
SUMMARY
The E-commerce Copywriter is responsible for copy written for Perry Ellis’ direct to consumer sites and wholesale brands, as well as digital media campaigns. Reporting to the Digital Content Strategist, this person will work cross functionally with the search, CRM and e-commerce merchandising teams, contributing to the overall content marketing strategy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Craft product descriptions that bridge the gap between delivering practical information and engaging messaging, with attention to grammar, readability, style & accuracy of product information.
• Support promotional initiatives with compelling, and optimized, content that elicits favorable response from consumers, i.e. e-mail marketing, promotional banners, landing pages.
• Create ad-hoc writing for search objectives, this includes E-Commerce category pages and landing pages.
• Master the `tone’ of a host of apparel brands targeting dramatically different demographic niches.
• Implement SEO writing and best practices across all content marketing authorship. Proofs and signs off on copy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a clever, inventive, curious writer able to make a big splash with a small number of words.
• Ability to partner well with cross-functional team members.
• Experience with MOZ, SEM Rush, or similar SEO platforms a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platform a plus.
• Familiarity with Demandware Ecommerce or similar platform a plus.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish Native Fluency is preferred.
