The ideal candidate has a rich knowledge of marketing and social media and a passion for the fashion industry. She/he actively uses Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Youtube, Blogs, Discussion Forums and other social platforms. We are looking for someone who knows what is hot now and what is next. This position should have a passion for exploring cutting edge social networking platforms, a sense of creativity, and will work with other departments (PR, Design, E-Commerce) to gain a deep understanding of each brand in order to assist in generating content that speaks in a uniquely branded voice.
Duties:
• Assist team in maintaining and evolving strategies to increase the presence for all Dutch LLC brands on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Youtube, Blogs, and other relevant social platforms.
• Assist in supporting marketing and social team on events, launches and important industry dates.
• Work with Manager to optimize day-to-day social media efforts with innovative and newsworthy content, creative layouts, social and marketing calendars, and evaluating analytics and metrics to identify and maximize opportunities.
◦ Work with manager to develop overall Social Media Strategies.
◦ Work with design, PR and creative teams to understand each brand’s identity in order to develop differentiated social content that reflects their unique identity and sets tone.
◦ Work with marketing to align on important events and launches to support.
◦ Strong sense of social media tools and strategies to gain new followers, fans and engagement.
◦ Present engagement opportunities with fashion retailers, editors, and influencers on social media channels to expose all brands to a larger audience.
◦ Bring engagement worthy content to managers attention for review and possible engagement and reposting opportunities.
◦ Have a strong social voice to respond to active followers in a timely manner. Build user interaction to establish a feeling of personal connection to the brand.
◦ Search for quality user generated content to be considered for reposting.
◦ Assist with creating monthly content calendars, gathering appropriate assets and creating thoughtful layouts.
◦ Upload content daily across all active platforms.
◦ Research influencers/bloggers and present to manager for consideration.
◦ Assist with influencer gifting.
• Work across departments to ensure that content is relevant to organizational goals.
• Support and protect all brands by ensuring positive messaging is maintained in community.
• Establish consistency of message across multiple networks.
• Monitor and track discussion topics for management team.
• Assist manager with reporting to update internal staff on follower and engagement statistics.
Skills/Qualifications:
• 2-3 years professional work experience in digital marketing/social media. Fashion background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of blogger and influencer space.
• Must have exceptional traditional writing and grammatical skills and a flair for using "social networking speak" and online jargon.
• Must have a growing understanding of all social media channels and continually follow updates on new regulations, opportunities, and programs that can benefit the company.
• Verbal communication skills with ability to present information clearly.
• Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills.
• Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas.
• Ability to track and monitor postings relevant to the brand, and bring feedback to management team.
• Interest in fashion, popular culture and entertainment industries a must.
• Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire to expand skills and be the best.
• College degree required. Preferred studies in liberal arts, journalism or new media.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign preferred.
