Overview:
The Email Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing analytical evaluation of our email marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for email marketing program execution and analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to finalize content and ensure timely email and SMS deployment
• Assist in the day-to-day analysis and data-related activities of email and SMS marketing in an effort to optimize delivery, open-rates, click thru and minimize opt-out rates.
• Share responsibility in the day-to-day analysis and data-related activities of the daily and weekly email reporting
• Execute and archive historical email reporting.
• Utilize existing reporting tools to create ad hoc reports to draw conclusions and develop actionable insights.
• Maintain system of assigning and tracking email coupon codes for accurate reporting.
• Ensure coupon codes are executed correctly with counterparts in store operations, and creative.
• Execute in-store marketing and prospecting initiatives to acquire new email and SMS options.
• Apply segmented communication strategies to retain and increase email engagement and conversion.
• Work in multiple, concurrent projects requiring interaction with all levels of the organization.
• Coordinate the development and deployment of creative assets, dynamical personalization and lists of email blasts.
• Assist in the transfer of data attributes, customer opt-in and opt-out information and customer feedback between marketing database and email vendor.
• Conduct competitor analysis, share learnings and make recommendations that will enhance the program
Required Experience:
Qualifications:
• 1+ year Email Marketing experience.
• Marketing campaign execution experience, a plus
• Understanding of segmentation strategies and approaches.
• Ability to model complex business questions and issues.
• Ability to think analytically and creatively
• Familiarity with the following ESPs appreciated, not required. (Experian Cheetahmail, Responsys, SailThru, SendGrid, BlueCore, Contstant Contact)
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Technical skill proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions.
• Technical skill proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Strong oral and written presentation skills.
• Technical skill proficiency in Microstrategy, DREAM and SAS, a plus.
• Experience in retail marketing or apparel manufacturing environment, a plus.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business with concentration in Marketing or Finance.
• Advanced degree, MBA, a plus.
