Purpose
& Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Be the Brand's face and voice, internally and externally, in the Asia Region, Lead Market Japan. Contribute to the development of the Brand's global go-to-Market plan, drive its implementation throughout the Region and grow the business vertically in the Lead Market Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Brand Strategy, Marketing Strategy, and Product Strategy for the Asia Region ensuring integration across all functions. Success will be evidenced by corporate financial success (revenue and profitability) and consumer demand (Brand equity and desire).
• Sharpen the Brand's positioning/ perception, while strengthening its connection to athletes, consumers and other key stakeholders, in the Market.
• Create and drive adoption of Brand, Marketing and Product Strategies through the teams: Brand Mission, Vision, Purpose; Silo/Segmentation, Brand Positioning, Consumer Definition; Product Structure Hierarchy, and Consumer Navigation.
• Create, define, lead usage of all seasonal concepts and stories, and storytelling of hero product and technologies throughout all Go To Market (GTM) initiatives.
• Lead and create marketing strategies with Marketing Functional teams accros the Region at the beginning of each fiscal/planning year, and lead adjustments throughout the year as needed based on business conditions.
• Lead and manage Product Merchandising accros the Region to deliver consumer-desired products aligned with seasonal strategies and stories, at margin targets, on time and within quality standards.
• Create and Drive the adoption of the Global Sports marketing strategy to the regional Teams via the creation of the Regional Sports Marketing strategy.
• Constantly analyze business performance and seize business opportunities in the Market to meet and/or exceed KPIs and financial targets.
• Lead and steer the Market range selection process, with an aim to optimize efficiency based on the Asia Regional range.
• Lead and steer the execution of global and local Brand and sports marketing strategies/concepts.
• Drive the Market's Strategic Business Plan to ensure alignment between go-to-Market strategies and the financial targets.
• Drive consumer/channel matrix management and ensure the Market has the proper tools and support to effectively implement the go-to-Market plan.
• Construct and implement the end-to-end Integrated Seasonal Development Plan through consumer insights, commercial feedback, story creation, kick off, development, go-to-market and finally go-to-consumer.
• Interface and communicate with Global Brand CMO and Product Category Leaders to align on strategies, to gain timeline understanding, and to provide Regional feedback.
• Represent the commercial, brand, marketing, product and consumer needs of the markets to headquarters.
• Create and Manage all relevant budgets to plan
• Oversee and lead market research and insightful analysis to provide input to Product Merchandising, Product Design and Functional Marketing teams.
• Evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities.
• Evaluate and select vendors as needed for Brand, Marketing, Design and Product Creation.
Management:
• Provide a clear vision and direction with relevant objectives and KPIs.
• Establish a high performance culture and drive employee engagement, leading by example.
• Provide a suitable performance framework for direct reports by setting SMART performance targets and coaching for continuous improvement.
• Identify and develop high-potential talents, to fuel the team's succession plan.
• Look for opportunities to provide cross-functional experiences to identified high-potential talents from both, in and outside of the team.
• Coach managers for development with timely, efficient and measurable feedback.
• Oversee team structure that facilitates and maximizes performance.

• Deep understanding of Japanes & Korean Golfer’s behavior and mindset
• Equipped with proficient oral & written communication skills in English
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• University degree level Marketing or Business Management or related (MBA preferred)
• Min 8-10 years working experience in similar jobs with multi-national golf, sports, or Branded Apparel/Footwear Company
• Strong Marketing & Product Experience, especially in Japan Market. Other market experience a plus
• Avid Golfer preferred
• Fluent in written and oral English and Japanese. Other asian languages a plus.
