As the Communications & Marketing Manager – North America you will be responsible for managing the North America communications and marketing strategy. You will work closely with the Paris HQ and the US PR agencies to effectively plan and implement the communication and marketing strategy for the North America subsidiary.

You will be reporting to the President of North America and will work closely with your counterparts at our Paris Headquarters.
Responsibilities
• Manage our third party PR agency on all campaigns and ensure that the goals are being met that effectively enhance The Kooples image and position in the US market. Create specific and relevant targets to achieve and work with agency to ensure delivery of those targets
• Create and execute the marketing and communications calendar. Work closely with the global team and tailor the US calendar to meet the needs of the US market. Work with the NY team across logistics, retail and ecommerce to ensure the calendar will also meet the commercial needs
• Ensure 360 communication strategy for all campaigns and work closely with all cross-functional teams to ensure campaign success
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with editors, key influencers, industry professionals, department store partners, etc… to ensure growth in The Kooples brand awareness
• Own production and execution of The Kooples Press, campaign and store events for the North America market
• Manage and coordinate delivery of sample and/or gifting requests related to press, influencer and/or celebrity
• Coordinate with Paris HQ to manage brand image across all channels
• Analyze data and reporting and make recommendations for future campaigns
• Work with North America retail teams and identify strategic partners to create and execute in-store events
• Manage communications and marketing budget and track the ROI for each campaign
• Provide management with monthly recap of results for all campaigns
Profile
• Ideal candidate has minimum 5 years of experience with brand communications and marketing
• Previous experience managing a PR agency
• Bachelor’s Degree in PR or marketing
• Worked with key US titles with track record of increasing editorial clippings
• Experience managing and building relationships with influencers
• Prior experience creating events that support press and/or in-store activations
• Previous experience creating strategy for media buys
• Experience creating and managing budgets
• Strong project management skills and proven results
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a multicultural team environment (appreciation of French culture a plus)
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines while using analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, project team and other departments within the organization
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
