General Description
The Business Analyst- Digital Optimization will be responsible for all online site analytics and reporting. This position will evaluate customer shopping behavior and navigation effectiveness, and provide reporting to internal business partners. This position will also create and maintain reporting to evaluate 3rd party tools to determine if changes to settings, business rules, or other settings are needed to optimize site performance
Oversee digital analytics capabilities and deploy new analytic tools/programs:
• Analyze quantitative & qualitative web user data to measure site effectiveness, customer behavior & conversions, and then make data-driven recommendations to improve customer experience and website effectiveness
• Provide weekly site reporting on client shopping patterns, site heat mapping, conversion and channel statistics
• Create reporting as needed for business to understand online shopping trends
• Develop dashboard to evaluate 3rd party tools to ensure settings and business rules are optimized
• Ensure the accuracy of the reporting data and analytics
• Standardize KPI reporting and regular performance assessment using all available analytics data including conversion, spend, merchandising performance and channel performance
• Manage on site tagging efforts plus the tag management tools
• Train new team members on Omniture reporting toolset
Create and maintain strong partnerships:
• Maintain open communication and partnerships with Store and Ecommerce Operations, Central Planning, FP & A, Allocations, IT and Customer Service
• Challenge the thinking of others, quickly finding common ground to solve problems with the end customer in mind
• Support each other’s needs by providing information, potential solutions, and data
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Marketing field preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years prior experience in retail or eCommerce finance or planning.
• Experience in an E-commerce environment recommended
• Best practices around website analytics
• Use of web analytics tools (Adobe Insight, Adobe SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, Monetate, Adobe Test and Target or similar tools) preferred
• Excellent business and analytical acumen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer proficiency
