JOB SUMMARY
The Global Director of Footwear Operations will establish the strategy and initiatives to identify and implement tools, platforms and programs that drive operational excellence. The Director will oversee Tools and Process functions at the Global level. The Global Director will partner with teams to identify opportunities and priorities that will enable growth and elevate Footwear productivity. They will implement Footwear centric solutions that assist in achieving business and people goals aligned with Converse product priorities. The Global Director will also collaborate with business partners to define and measure business goals and metrics to drive success across the Footwear organization. They will collaborate and partner with enabling functions (Strategy, Finance, Go To Market) and the Global product, design and merchandising organization to prioritize and plan annual initiatives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Define global standards for Footwear tools, processes and labor optimization. Partner with geographies to localize as needed. To include, but not limited to, Footwear Systems, calendar, Annual Operating Plans, etc
• Develop the functional team strategy in collaboration with Footwear and cross functional leaders
• Creates budget and resource plan for new program and platform implementations
• Lead game planning process and calendar, ensures critical dates and gates are met
• Plans Global implementation road map and communicates resource and funding needs to geography teams for new initiatives
• Develops new tools, platforms and programs to drive efficient, sustainable processes in geographies
• Leads the implementation of KPI’s and metrics
• Collect geography feedback and monitors effectiveness and consistency of established programs across geographies. Report out globally and adjust as needed
• Conducts initial training for new programs
• Collaborate with technology on the strategic approach to assess and determine existing and emerging technologies that can enhance and positively impact the growth of product
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Strategy or related field
• 2 additional years of experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree level education
• 8+ years related experience within a consumer brand, retail or fashion sector
• Experience in the following areas: strategy, operations project management, business planning, supply chain, inventory management, budget
• Ability to network, collaborate and leverage internal and external resources
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence business partners and stakeholders
• Strong presentation capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills. Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of time
