JOB PURPOSE
This is an exciting opportunity to join Burberry as Marketing Manager in Milan, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager South and East Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop local marketing strategy for Italy, based on global and regional strategy, supporting local business
objectives in collaboration with retail business leadership team and Marketing and Communications EMEIA &
Corporate leads.
• Agree budget with Marketing and Comms Senior Manager and manage it
• Ensure best in class delivery against all agreed plans, including tracking ROI against all initiatives.
• Understand local consumer behaviour and needs and ensure those are translated into local plans, tailoring
corporate initiatives to the market
• Feed local insights and ideas up to EMEIA & Corporate strategic leads
MEDIA
• Own local media buying and planning in line with global guidelines and EMEIA Marketing strategy, working
closely with globally appointed agency for the region
• Maximise media partnerships to include 360° approach obtaining further added value
• Feed in market specific requirements to EMEIA team to influence regional budgets, plans and priorities, both
online and offline.
EVENTS
• Manage events strategy for Italy, in partnership with Corporate events team
• Develop, manage and execute local events, working closely with the Corporate events team.
• Feed into Marketing regional lead any level 1 & 2 event proposals for sign off with corporate and ensure
resource support
• Provide update on level 3 onwards event plans to seek approval
• Develop and sustain relationships with HNW partners to recruit new clients
• Track event ROI
DIGITAL MARKETING
• Maintain local Twitter accounts in line with Corporate guidelines
• Identify and develop local digital marketing opportunities (e.g wholesale, franchise, social, search)
MARKETING DELIVERY
• Feed into Delivery Lead local market priorities and briefs to ensure driven through agreed sign off process
and followed through
• Provide update to Delivery Lead of achievement against agreed implementation plans – time, cost and quality
• Partner with Delivery lead on key projects to ensure delivery against agreed timeframes
RETAIL AND WHOLESALE MARKETING
• Work closely across all marketing functions by partnering with retail, wholesale, BPC, merchants and engagement marketing to drive brand and commercial goals
• Work with Senior manager, Communications manager and regional leads to build 360° Brand and product campaigns
• Develop and implement initiatives to drive local and international traffic to the stores and ensure close connection with retail teams to provide tactical support to drive traffic and revenue goals.
• Work closely with Wholesale team to define and implement wholesale marketing strategy with key partners.
