Responsibilities
As a Digital Commerce Site Manager, you will be responsible for adapting and coordinating New Balance’s eCommerce business and marketing strategy for international markets. You will focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving increased transactions, and achieving corporate objectives by representing the needs of international markets during the planning process. You will manage marketing efforts to ensure they are distinct and authentic to New Balance, while building and maintaining brand equity. In this role, you will track, assess, and report on external trends, competitors and marketplace to ensure strategies align with our business. You will be accountable for meeting annual revenue goals. You will assist the business manager in establishing specific website business goals and objectives and prioritizing those initiatives. You will recommend revisions to the strategy as needed based on your sound analysis, performance metrics, and regional insights. You will consistently monitor and analyze sales, traffic, and spend to assess performance and see that prompt action is taken as needed. As an integral member of the team, you will identify opportunities for growing the business, improving market share, and keeping up with trends, and then develop plans to address these. You will be charged with leading regional eCommerce business presentations that clearly present concepts and rational for decisions and directions.
Site Management:
• Oversee the day to day site operations i.e. product creation, merchandising, asset placement and categorization.
• Manage the Demandware platform - build and test marketing campaigns and promos, create categories and products , search refinements, URL implementations and A/B testing
• Ensure the website delivers the best branded product experience, is functional and provides service that consistently exceeds consumer expectations.
• Consistently monitor key parts of the website to make sure the customer has the best online experience.
• Plan and strategize to create a more viable shopping experience for the customers; provide timely feedback to US team on usability and site enhancements.
• Intimately involved in global meetings to get a sense of direction on future initiatives i.e. mobile UX, My NB app and key IT enhancements.
• Train new associates on e-Comm processes and day to day responsibilities.
• Analyze market research, trends and competitors’ campaigns.
• Identify issues on the site and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Provide feedback to the Global team on various site experience elements.
• Constantly strive towards achieving sales targets.
Reporting:
• Create daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly site metrics and present them to the management team.
• Continuously monitor key site metrics to determine growth and future opportunities.
• Provide snapshots of the financials on a daily basis.
• Determine banner performance and placement based on the metrics.
• Fine tune key elements of the site based on the metrics.
• Deliver a monthly overview of the business to the Global Management team with insights and recommended actions to grow the site.
• Effectively use analytical tools to build a deeper understanding of the business.
Marketing:
• Responsible for launching key global marketing initiatives and strategies i.e. product sets, shop anywhere, shoe recommenders, Run IQ, Running and Women’s Hub.
• Conduct detailed planning for the current and following year’s marketing calendars; predict trends and growth and accordingly plan ahead for 2017.
• Work closely with the global and internal marketing teams to launch projects in an efficient and timely manner.
• Work closely with NB’s Graphic designer for marketing content creation.
• Help create tickets in Jira and make sure they are completed on time.
Email Marketing:
• Create monthly email marketing calendars to push key styles and stories.
• Own the email marketing process (Responsys); target segmentations, more localized content, increase frequency of e-blasts, try different strategies i.e. abandon cart emails, acquisition strategies.
• Structure the Canada Resposnys platform.
SEO, SEM and Digital Marketing:
• Review Search Program (SEM/SEO) for ongoing efficiencies, specifically for traffic and for revenue generating opportunities.
• Continuously plan, design, create and manage successful paidsearch campaigns.
• Constantly monitor SEM performance and make edits accordingly.
• Create search keywords and optimize them.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field plus 3-5 years of digital marketing, ecommerce, project/account coordination experience.
• Strong knowledge of web analytics.
• Experience assessing budget and staffing needs.
• Ability to develop and execute ecommerce marketing programs.
• Previous experience supporting an ecommerce store, with proven results in increasing revenue, reducing costs and accurately forecasting sales.
• Must enjoy working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organization, and planning skills required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to persuade an audience.
• Knowledge of and passion for commerce/shopping trends and delivering best-in-class user experiences.
• Computer skills required.
• Some travel.
