Description
The director Consumer Insights serves as the dedicated expert for ELC brands to ensure integration of consumer information and insights that lead to action in the brand development and innovation processes. The role requires deep rooted knowledge of consumer insight methodologies and of dissemination processes that leads consumer and customer insight into action.
The role owner acts as a strategic partner and consumer insight consultant to the business. The role requires constant collaboration with departmental colleagues to facilitate shared learning and cross-fertilization of ideas and knowledge with regional counterparts and peers in other brand CI roles. The role owner will also support and engage in the global corporate insight agenda, driving the alignment of methodology standards and helps to integrate consumer understanding vertically (from affiliate, to region to global brand teams and vice versa) and horizontally (across different process steps in the marketing development process).
30% Serve as centralized Consumer Insights expert, providing integrated consumer, business, competitor, etc. insights to assigned brands to facilitate
strategic and tactical planning that will result in profitable growth for the assigned brand. This would focus on all kind of methodologies related tomarketing and
shopper insight.
30% Be held accountable for the quality of information assigned to the brand, and ensure that this information is interpreted appropriately and used to drive
creative ideas -- inspired by the consumer.
10% Coordinate all information assets (i.e. syndicated data, CRM data, digital, competitor, et al) to ensure multi-dimensional view relevant to brand needs.
Interpret and synthesize multi-source data to insights that will lead to actionable strategies and plans for the brand.
10% Work closely with global and regional Consumer Insights colleagues to integrate global, regional and local learning as relevant to brand needs for strategy
and tactical execution.
10% Discover new growth opportunities for the brand by, through multi-dimensional research, identifying those consumers who are under-served or
considered "prime targets" for future consumption.Develop foresight for the brand
10% Continuously evolves standards and methods servicing the specific requirements of the fragrance business establishing a unique consumer insight model
for this business context.
Qualifications
The role owner needs to be a consumer insight specialist ideally with a longer career in a comparable business environment.
Very good presentation and articulation skills required. Aptitude to build an environment to work in.
Minimum Education level: University Degree
Minimum Years of Experience: 8 Years Related Experience

Licenses or Certifications:Ideally Master or MBA
