Strategic Planning Director Nike Direct
Description
As the Strategic Planning Director for Nike Direct, you'll be a part of a Strategic Planning team supporting Nike's European retail business based at Nike's European Headquarters. Reporting to the GM/ VP of Nike Direct EMEA, you'll be responsible for assisting the Nike Direct Leadership Team in developing and executing near and long term growth strategies, defining business initiatives and plans, and managing key strategic projects for this rapidly growing business. You will also work closely with the Strategic Planning Director for EMEA providing support on cross-functional projects and marketplace strategies.
You'll be a trusted member of our team with the following responsibilities:
• Provide research and analytical support on strategic projects
• Manage cross-functional project teams to identify, analyze, and develop plans around critical strategic priorities
• Provide thought leadership in areas of expertise and experience, and catalyze action against these priorities
• Contribute project management support and coordination among internal resources to successfully execute key projects
• Work independently to design and lead research projects related to market trends, consumer profiles, and competitive intelligence
• Direct and execute analysis for new business opportunities, in digital and physical retail
• Coordinate strategic planning process milestones and deliverables, including developing 3 year strategic plans, annual plans, quarterly business reviews and other business updates
Qualifications
• Master’s degree required, MBA preferred
• At least 7 years’ experience in strategy consulting (projects to have included retail and e-commerce) or 5 years of experience in strategy consulting with additional experience in a retail corporate environment
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence with managing upward communication to executive leadership teams and management
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and provide project management support
• Proven ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to consumers, industries, and competitors
• Problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ideally Keynote
• Strong affinity with Sports and Retail
