CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly
• Generate weekly selling reports and business analysis to track selling, identify key trends, maximize opportunities and minimize liabilities to achieve continued growth and profitability of the business
• Delivery management; work in partnership with the planning, allocations and warehouse teams to track timely shipment of FGPO and store receipts/on order
• Recommend timely markdowns on goods and re orders on bestsellers. Share insight based on reviewing analysis in order to grow and impact business
• Responsible for execution and maintenance of merchandising guidelines and product knowledge information to the stores
• Assist in producing weekly trade product performance recap
• Stock management; working in partnership with the allocations team to ensure new product deliveries are sent to the right store ranging in the right quantity
• Prepare for and attend store visits and make recommendations to drive business
• Responsible for ensuring buy plans and critical path are up to date and key dates communicated to team
• Trains, coaches and develops Buyers Admin Assistant
Monthly
• Set up monthly floorset documents
• Communicate and partner with planning, allocations, retail team, VM and ops to ensure right execution of all merchandising strategies
• Product knowledge; select styles on a monthly basis and communicate to L&D team
• In partnership with planning team drive monthly calls with wholesale team to discuss stock needs
• Responsible for delivering best and worst meeting in store two weeks post new floorset launch
• Manage communication of wardrobing document
• Report previous months window styles selling results and communicate to team including VM
Seasonal
• Carry out competitor analysis and present back findings to team and senior management
• Partner with team to run analysis and prepare hindsight’s in order to identify key trends and opportunities in the assortment. Create boards where relevant. Attend and actively participate in market appointments
• Work with buyer’s administrator to ensure bulk orders are inputted, checked and reconciled
• Be the point-person for communicating buy/pricing information to Marketing/PR teams
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• Computer Literate – Advanced Excel Skills
• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment
