Description
The Online Features Producer reports to the Online Maintenance Production Lead, and is responsible for the project management and delivery of features and projects to our ecommerce and digital platform across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
You will leverage your project management skills to perform the day to day management of projects, but go beyond this remit to working across the geographically dispersed technical teams, senior business stakeholders, and coordinating with third parties in order to deliver Features, Enhancements and Projects of varying sizes – from two week single site upgrades to six month, pan-EMEA projects, the final deliverable on time and to budget.
We’re looking for a driven and successful producer / project manager with a proven history of working in a digital environment. You’ll work as part of a team of producers alongside digital design agencies, front and back-end engineers, affiliate marketing teams and regional business managers.
To succeed, you must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively, together with the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring optimum output.
You will have very good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail and good presentation skills. This role will involve frequent meetings with business representatives and outside agencies. They will also be expected to form strong relationships with peers in our Global team, and be comfortable working in a collaborative fashion to achieve common goals.
Overview of Responsibilities:
• Scoping / Project kick off
Taking brand briefs, working closely with the production and engineering teams to develop and scope the requirements. Explaining individual elements of a project to brand managers, producers, designers and developers. Creating scope of work documents, estimates and timing plans for projects. Experience of working across multiple projects at any one time is key.
• Delivering
Driving the delivery of a wide variety of eCommerce initiatives and features. The producer will work with specialists in each area (Engineers, Creatives, and Marketing Managers) to finalise and deliver each element of a brief on schedule.
• Client-handling
The producer will have a great deal of brand/agency contact. As such they must be very personable and enjoy this side of project management. They will be involved from the project initiation, but will be particularly responsible for guiding brands though the production process, writing status reports and organizing ongoing meetings.
Qualifications
You must have experience in delivering / producing digital projects, be educated to degree level or have relevant experience in your appropriate discipline and management experience.
• Experience of working in a Digital or eCommerce environment
• An excellent communicator to all levels, from front line staff to Vice President
• Hands-on technical background (Drupal CMS, Perl, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) a bonus
• Working knowledge of web technologies
• Pro-active problem solving attitude
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Culturally aware and able to adapt communication style to take into account target audience location e.g. Europe, Asia, America
