Overview
The Communications Coordinator, Creative Visual Merchandising will support the communication of global standards through the development and maintenance of compelling visual tools that clearly convey both creative and product presentation strategies to the Regional partners and store management.
Responsibilities
The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for project management. S/he will support all aspects of the CVM Directive building process. S/he will maintain both the primary CVM Communication tool, Pivot, and the CVM Intranet site as well as ensure that all available information on both platforms is up to date. S/he will identify product styling, product presentation strategies, store fixtures, design standards, materials used and challenges faced by the field team in order to support the building of communication tools. In addition, this individual will assist with the building and production of communications (i.e. creating compelling line drawings and renderings, taking pictures, formatting/editing, etc.). S/he will adhere to the CVM Communications calendar and ensure all deadlines are met.
The Communications Coordinator will support the operations by assisting with procurement and management of creative assets for photography shoots and special set ups, ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of photo equipment and photo studio. S/he will support the distribution of internal and external communication tools through all defined channels. S/he will also support the development and maintenance of cross functional and design operations tools. In addition, s/he will participate in select milestones of the design development process to gain insight into communication needs and installation challenges. Lastly, s/he will support all communication with follow ups and coordinate information as needed.
The Communications Coordinator will assist with special projects by supporting all aspects of the building and maintenance of special communication tools.
The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for administrative tasks such as building and organizing a digital library of all CVM communication assets (directives, photographs, special communications, etc.), coordinating and responding to miscellaneous requests (i.e. creative and merchandise set ups, etc.). In addition, s/he will ensure the CVM Project Status Log is up to date on a daily basis. Lastly, s/he will support the daily business needs of the Communications Manager and CVM team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Advanced InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Exceptional illustration, rendering and photo retouching skills.
• Exceptional communication skills - written, verbal and visual.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Strong photography skills.
• Able to think strategically.
• Able to multitask and prioritize while adhering to deadlines.
• Able to work with others and present ideas and information in group setting.
• Flexible, ambitious, outgoing, enthusiastic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
• Retail experience, preferably in luxury/jewelry a plus.
• Basic video editing a plus.
• Experience with HTML/Dreamweaver/SharePoint.
• Able to travel for store visits as needed.
