Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Act as Strategic Business Partner and Advisor to the organization in all privacy matters related to consumer data and act as a Leader for the Global Consumer Privacy Team. Support the VP Global Security & Data Privacy and ensure that the Global Consumer Privacy Team is providing the best privacy advice and solutions to enable strategic initiatives and to protect and enhance adidas’ assets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as leader to the organization in building and implementing a global privacy strategy for consumer data in accordance with the global privacy program to mitigate privacy risks on a global level.
• Act as advisor to the organization in strategic privacy issues related to consumer data and maintain strong relationships with the highest management level of the relating area.
• Consult with the Global Data Privacy Officer on the implementation of the global privacy program in relation to consumer data advising on global privacy policies, standards, training, awareness, and intercompany agreements.
• Lead Global Consumer Privacy Team and drive premium privacy advice for the company on key international flows for consumer data, on transfer mechanisms, on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts, on documentation of consumer data processing activities and on data privacy threshold and impact assessments.
• Acountable for managing the handling of privacy inquiries and complaints and for supporting court cases.
• Drive alignment with legal colleagues in other regions of the world and drive privacy assessments for the implementation of global projects.
• Significantly contribute to the achievement of the Global Privacy Program.
• Support in the driving of an ethics and compliance culture.
• Select law firms for support of key initiatives and drive the supervision of services provided.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Law Degree, 8+ years of experience in privacy and/or IT law.
• Law privacy specialization and privacy certification an advantage.
• Preferably experience with multinational companies with multicultural teams.
