The position of the Brand marketing Intern is within the Marketing department of Under Armour UK and Ireland and is located at the Manchester office. You will be reporting to the Brand Marketing Team and will be involved within all marketing fields including; Digital, PR, Sports and Brand marketing. You will support the UK AND IRELAND MARKETon the following:
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Public Relations:
• Supporting the needs of the UK and Ireland PR agency with enquiries relating to media coverage, reporting, asset delivery & events.
• Tracking and reporting Under Armour’s local media coverage on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Collating all key product info and imagery for PR product sell in to media.
• Monitoring competitor coverage and looking at the media landscape.
• Making sure UK has subscriptions to all key media and create a space in the office to display this.
Influencer marketing:
• Supporting the creation of social media plans for product/category stories and influencer activations.
• Monitoring social content of UA influencers – media, Gyms, PT’s and social bloggers.
• Maintaining the sports moments calendar to ensure Under Armour’s athletes, partners and clubs are activated on time.
Internal Communications:
• Contribute towards creation of the internal European marketing newsletter providing key UK updates on SPM, Retail marketing, Social marketing and PR highlights to the region.
• Responsible for drawing up the meeting minutes and detailing the status of key forthcoming and current projects.
• Create weekly highlights reports that detail examples of best practice and success that can be communicated to the European marketing team.
General Admin:
• Service the UK office function with support for Sales meetings, showrooms preparation, meal ordering and additional tasks deemed necessary.
• Liaising with key influencers, sports marketing assets and media ensuring they have required products.
• Manage product stock control for the office and offsite storage facilities.
• Support the Office Manager with the organisation of team events and team building activities, liaising with local UA partners and venues.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• The ideal candidate will be a current student undertaking a sandwich course and will be under taking a Business or Marketing specific degree.
• Passion for Sports is essential
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Able to work within a fast paced working environment and manage time effectively.
• Pro-active, hands-on, independent and a problem solving mentality
• Willingness to work long hours and occasional weekends
• Knowledge of PowerPoint & Excel is essential.
