The Photo Studio Product Specialist is an important member of the photography studio team. The Production Coordinator interfaces with the studio team, the merchandising team, the creative department and the web department. It is imperative that they have good communication skills, be highly organized and efficient, have excellent follow-through and be able to constantly multi-task. The Photography Studio is a team environment where the ability to collaborate is key.
Responsibilities
• Manage all photography requests – including catalog (location and studio), as well as web, ecommerce, marketing and PR
• Attend product review meetings and work with Creative Director to manage photography schedule and product organization for location photography
• Create and manage packing list for all location photography
• On location, coordinate product organization for shots by room
• Work closely with Merchants and Merchant Assistants on product arrival dates, product details and photo stock
• Coordinate meals and supplies for location shoot team
• Ensures that damaged photo stock is reordered
• Manage schedules of styling temps on location
• Participate in location scouting, including strategy plan and reference photos
• Work with retail & accessories merchants to coordinate and secure additional products for propping on shoots
• Coordinate and schedule house painting during location photography
Requirements
• Experience in photography and/or styling is a plus
• Interest in home décor and/or interior design
• Knowledge of Ballard product
• Must be able to work in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must have very strong organizational skills
• Able to easily communicate and share ideas within a team environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines while staying professional and positive
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must work in all types of weather conditions
• Must meet all requirements on the DOT medical examination
• Valid Drivers License with clean MVR – CDL not required
• Must pass random alcohol and drug testing
• Must pass road test and DOT certification
• Must have own transportation
• Must be flexible in scheduling/some extra hours as needed (not often)
