Job Description
This role is focused primarily on creating successful email marketing campaigns with a focus on improving customer engagement and retention, and will continuously iterate and improve campaigns using data analysis and frequent A/B testing.
Responsibilities:
• Deployments, day-to-day management of email campaigns including but not limited to editing messages, leading design and copy reviews, structuring AB tests, scheduling deliveries and reporting on email results.
• Workflow/Data Set-Up, understanding of how to use data points available to create audiences that fulfill campaign requirements and create exclusions when multiple audiences overlap.
• List Health,monitor & maintain email deliverability best practices and file cleanup (unsubs, inactives, etc.)
• Campaign QA, ensure accurate, timely and consistent delivery of email campaigns with through checks.
• Reporting/Analysis, track and analyze key performance metrics (like click-to-open & click conversion rate), how they impact overall success, and coach cross-functional “brand” teams for improved metric attainment
• Automations, identify and develop new email automations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target to increase customer engagement, website traffic and customer lifetime value.
Experience/Qualities Needed:
• 2-3 years marketing campaign management & optimization
• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field preferred
• Familiarity working with a major ESP such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (fka Exact Target)
• Past experience importing data, segments, exclusion activities and filters based on project requirements and providing data reports (ex- audience counts)
• Strong understanding how personalization and dynamic content is implemented and ability to implement it from scratch.
• Impeccable attention to detail and loves learning through experimentation
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to independently derive insights from data
• Adaptable self-starter with a focus on driving work forward
• Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with larger cross-functional team (merchants, copywriters and design).
Technical Skills Required:
• HTML proficient
• CAN-SPAM & CASL compliance
• Knowledge of web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics & Google Analytics) & how to use them.
• Proficient in Excel graphs, formulas, functions, pivot tables and PowerPoint.
Bonus Technical Skills:
• AMPscript
• Experience with Automation Studio & Journey Builder
• Experience with entry-level SQL & XML
• CSS & Responsive Email Code
