Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
For the adidas Group, online presence is a key strategic priority. Specifically, adidas Group is focused on a branded digital experience and global eCommerce. The platform is the online connection between our brands and consumers. This role is the key conduit between the technologies that define and power our online platform and the teams who are driving traffic and business through the platform.
The Platform Operations Specialist for EMEA will support platform operations and business processes for adidas EMEA; ensuring the platform is managed and regular data analysis is performed to observe key pain points and drive improvements. This is a techno-business role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for support of day-to-day business operation of our platform to ensure demands of the consumers are met.
• Be part of the team, which manages our high volume “hype” sales, and eventually act as a full-fledged backup for the Platform Operations Manager.
• Focus on the EMEA markets for adidas and help drive the upcoming Omni channel business objectives.
• “Digital platform” includes Demandware and the technical/business operations of third parties including Adyen, Sterling Commerce, and Adobe Analytics etc.
• Support in driving innovation and results through usage of the digital platform. Work with markets and functional experts in marketing, merchandising, and UX to leverage the platform tools to optimize campaigns and functionality.
• Support in the definition and improvement of business operational processes as they relate to the platform and platform tools. Site performance and site speed is key area of focus.
• Support operationally focused projects and is a champion for operations in non-operationally focused projects.
• Maintenance of platform/ business process monitoring reports to internal stakeholders. To support these tasks there must be a willingness to adopt a data driven approach to operations.
• Support business teams in driving and delivering business projects.
• Support the daily/monthly/quarterly website updates.
• Develop into the subject matter expert for front-end tools and technology.
• Plan daily/weekly workload and manage timeslines with partners
• Support during both peak and non-peak times
Key Relationships:
• eCommerce business operations teams which includes Business Ops, OMS/Payment, UX, Marketing –Europe
• IT Operations Team - Germany
• Business teams at Reebok and adidas Europe
• Global and Local brand teams in key markets.
• Global and regional eCommerce functions on all levels, e.g. for the implementation of new processes and tools, for demanding work stream results, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Abilities:
• University degree in technical or science focused discipline.
• 2-4 years eCommerce or digital online experience in a function requiring technical capability
• Ability to self manage and operate effectively with little oversight
• Ability to communicate at all levels to drive common understanding of ambiguous situations
• Ability to work in team environment and welcome collaboration and feedback from other team members
• Proficient with Microsoft Access, SQL, SQL Server, and relational databases.
• Proficiency in data tools such, as Tableau or Microsoft BI is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience working with Demandware is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience working with common eCommerce third party tools (Bazaar Voice, Optimizely etc.)
• Knowledge or experience of front-end performance analysis tools such as Webpagespeedtest and SOASTA.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Content Management systems.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Web Analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc…)
• Fluent in English.
