As an industry leader in content and commerce, MR PORTER is always looking to expand its editorial offering. To do so, we are looking to recruit a talented Designer to work alongside the existing editorial, creative, social and marketing teams and spearhead the launch of an exciting new editorial platform.
We’re looking for a proactive, multi-skilled creative used to working in a fast-paced luxury editorial environment. Highly proficient in all things digital, the candidate should be experienced in the concepting and creation of editorial assets within a digital publishing landscape. The position reports into the Art Director, Editorial & Video.
Responsibilities:
• Create strong concepts & moodboards for a wide variety of stories
• Art direct any shoots, which may include fashion, still-life, both studio and on location.
• Creating interesting and engaging graphic visuals from existing collateral
• Overseeing creation of any relevant video content
• Sourcing and editing assets from various image libraries as required
• Mark-up and oversee post production of any imagery as required
• Briefing and commissioning of external creative partners
• Develop over time the creative visual tone and identity of the platform Continually progress technical skills and understanding of the digital marketplace to ensure MR PORTER maintains its industry leading positionSupporting the Art Director on larger projects to meet business goals and continually improve user experience
Essential Skills & Requirements:
• Strong creative editorial background
• Broad experience in creating content for online platforms
• In depth knowledge of shoot process and production needs
• Independent, proactive attitude
• Proven Art Direction skills
• Abity to self-manage and work from concept creation to finished asset seamlessly
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task with solid time management skills
• Proven ability of working within a fast-paced environment
• Advanced Creative suite and CMS skills
• Any experience in front end developing an advantage
• Ability to put forward ideas and use initiative to constantly improve the editorial quality of the content we produce
• Self-motivated and able to communicate with the wider MR PORTER team to ensure business needs are met
• A sense of humour and a passion for the MR PORTER customer and brand
Location: London, W12
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
