Assistant Buyer
This position assists the Senior Buyer in their daily functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
• Create and analyze weekly and monthly selling reports in order to aid buyer in making financial decisions.
• Prepare color and size selling to place correct buys, analyze ladder plans
• Work with cross functional planning, allocation and marketing team on day to day details of our business
• Review ship reports and on order to ensure product is shipped on time.
• Assist visual team on product placement
• Track and maintain samples and ensure that product is ticketed and labelled correctly
• Participate in the merchandising of product
• Visit market with buyer to review market trends
• Communicate frequently with Wholesale department, management team, Planning and Allocations and 3rd party vendors
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ years of experience as Assistant Buyer or related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field
• Strong Retail Math skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
• Strong Analytical skills
• Flexibility to travel to stores and New York Office
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
