Marketing Graduate Scheme | London | ASOS Careers (September 2017 start date)
By joining our Brand Experience Team as a Marketing Graduate you will spend time in four key teams for 6 months each. You will have a mentor throughout the period but will get exposure to four key areas of Marketing. Over the course of the 2 years you will have the opportunity to develop a well-rounded and 360° understanding of marketing, and the opportunities and challenges we face as a discipline.
The blend of disciplines will give you the chance to understand more about some key principles of marketing: customer insight, acquisition, customer relationship management, engagement, awareness and measuring performance. You will be working in a fast-paced, matrix-managed environment, facing the challenges of delivering world class insight, activity and campaigns, at global scale whilst learning about the marketing principles we’re so passionate about.
• Digital Marketing: This team manages all digital marketing investment globally. The dual objective of the team is to acquire new customers and generate sales among existing customers too in profitable way with multi-million budgets. You will support one of the team (PPC, Affiliates and Partnerships or Programmatic) assisting in analysis of performance, support the execution of new and existing campaigns and focus on local activities in more than one market
• Brand Insight: is all about understanding consumers and the competitive position of our brand. Through a combination of research methodologies, our role is to help the business understand; the real person behind the shopper, such as who they are, what their interests and preferences are, what their hopes and fears are…and more; and the relevance of the brand within the markets we operate. Within this global-serving role, you will work on a range of brand and consumer research projects that involves researching consumers and cultural trends and getting into the 20-something mind-set (their aspirations, expectations and motivations) to ensure the entire business has a deep understanding of our different markets and customer audiences, and that the insights that we generate are used to inform how we position, communicate and effectively engage people with our brand.
• CRM Strategy:This team is responsible for taking customer data and insight to devise and execute a global strategy for engaging, converting and retaining customers via targeted messaging across all touch points or through the ASOS A-LIST loyalty programme. We want to truly reward our customers, helping to build a lasting relationship to encourage long term loyalty with ASOS and maximise Life Time Value. During this placement, you will help to define the strategy for new KPI orientated initiatives, execute the strategy via a combination of email, SMS and push notifications and measure the success of these.
• Brand & Trade Marketing: The role of the team is to help ensure that all marketing we do speaks to our brand purpose and helps to build emotional rather than just functional relationships with the brand. The team is responsible for shaping and delivering ASOS’s global and local brand and communications strategy, tailored to the needs of each market, whilst making sure that we are delivering a consistent brand globally, true to our core values. Within this team, you will support the UK Marketing manager to deliver the UK trade, proposition and brand activity. Monitoring the performance of a combination of owned channels (site, email and social platforms) earned and paid media, this role will help the UK Marketing Manager to deliver thorough marketing plans, which fulfil our trade, proposition and brand strategies to engage customers in market.
