Working with the rest of the Marketing Team, the Digital Marketing Analyst will provide substantive business insights through ownership of digital program tracking, reporting, and in-depth analysis of e-commerce and digital marketing activity. The analysis will result in building recommendations that lead to the formulation of effective marketing strategies and next steps.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In support of Performance Analysis, build performance reporting and dashboards that provide in-depth analysis for:
◦ Digital marketing performance overall
◦ Performance by specific program: email, paid search, SEO, paid social, display
◦ Segmentation and customer analysis
◦ Online product performance
◦ SEO terms
◦ Digital paths to purchase
◦ Digital to offline performance
◦ Mobile performance
◦ Results of A/B testing
◦ ROI and value analysis
◦ Others as required
• In support of driving business impact:
◦ Partner with marketing managers to identify opportunities that drive impact for all strategic imperatives.
◦ Develop a CRM strategy which encompasses Customer Journey and Customer Journey software.
◦ Evaluate merchandise performance on sites and monitors search activity (both paid search and natural).
◦ Provide insights that help develop marketing initiatives to increase website traffic, improve conversion rate, and lift average order value. Stay current on latest trends in online analytics.
◦ Analyze and model structured data and implement algorithms to support analysis using advanced statistical and mathematical methods from statistics, machine learning, data mining.
◦ Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations.
◦ Perform exploratory data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, and uncover interesting trends and relationships amongst data sets.
◦ Assist with prescriptive strategic modeling for digital engagement.
• In support of Marketing Operations:
◦ Assist with maintaining analytics tags and pixel implementation utilizing a Tag Management Solution. Ensure coding, tracking and monitoring of are set up properly throughout all digital customer touch points.
◦ Assist with mapping out contact and multivariate testing scenarios for all programs, and ensure results are accurate and timely.
◦ Create flexible attribution models that identify sophisticated and cross channel paths to purchase that will help manage marketing program spend.
◦ Work with internal/external data partners to create holistic dashboards by pulling data from different sources for both marketing and reporting use. Retrieve, prepare, and process a rich data variety online and offline data from multiple sources.
◦ Deliver data-driven insights that lead to increased web and mobile site conversions.
◦ Ensure that all marketing channels and ad hoc promotions are tracked, identifying abandonment issues and developing options to improve conversion, and ensuring the accuracy of the analytics implementation by validating the data collected.
◦ Provide analysis of graphic assets on all sites, including but not limit to, split testing and path analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS/BA degree in mathematics/statistics, computer science, economics, or a quantitative field is required with three years of relevant experience and strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: statistics, data mining, machine learning, operations research, econometrics, natural language processing, and/or information retrieval.
• 3 Years experience with retail or other direct to consumer industry.
• Proficiency in analysis packages and programming languages.
• Proficient at Google Analytics, preferably GA360.
• Experience working with large data sets, writing queries, structuring reports.
• Outstanding written/verbal communication skills with experience distilling and presenting complex quantitative analysis.
• Understanding of web best practices and web conversion metrics is mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Comfortable working expediently against quick turnaround times.
• Comfortable writing executive presentations of data findings/recommendations.
