Visual Merchandiser – Wrangler

The Job: - Be a true brand ambassador for the Wrangler brand as a Visual Merchandiser. Working as part of a nationwide team, you will visit branches of Key Accounts within a designated geographical area - North and Midlands, to positively change the perception of the brands. To increase sales & brand awareness within designated stores through staff training, sales support, stock management and excellent merchandising.
The role:
• Arrange comprehensive weekly / bi-weekly store coverage of all pre-assigned retailers adhering to the weekly rota system
• Build excellent instore relations with managers and store staff to maximise sales; through product & brand knowledge & excellent customer service.
• Conduct staff training sessions on a seasonal basis, both formal and informal ensuring that all staff fully understand the features and benefits of the Wrangler product range and that they are motivated to sell those products
• Merchandise product, highlighting fits/finishes & ensure stocks are maximised at all times.
• Feedback to brand teams any sell through data, stock holding information (stock counts), display potential, competitor activity and any other information to assist the Account Managers and Marketing departments.
• To build excellent instore relationships to ensure product is displayed in the best position & to ensure retail presentation is of a high standard. Areas to have correct signage and POS at all times
• To work towards improving the profitability of the areas/account by setting regular objectives and assessing those objectives on a regular basis
• Merchandise both window and instore displays adhering to WRANGLER Point of Sale calendar.
• To fully understand all of the Wrangler product and marketing plans in relation to the different brands and positively communicate these to the trade.
• Ensure that all administration is completed accurately and sent to the relevant people on time.
• Responsible for up-to-date reports of the store visits to send weekly to the team.
• Ensure brand presentation in the Wrangler showrooms and sales meetings.
• Set-up of tradeshows each season in line with brand guidelines and sales direction.
You will need to have:
• A minimum of 2 years retail fashion experience.
• A good understanding of visual merchandising techniques.
• Involvement in staff training programs, ideally product knowledge or sales related.
• Demonstrating a creative and commercial approach;
• Extreme passionate about denim and product-knowledge of Denim is a preference;
• Excellent planning and organization skills.
• Hands on mentality
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships therefore needs to have strong communication skills.
• Full driving license.
• Ability to analyse historical sales figures to show need for improvements in the sales area. Ability to use statistics and hard data to build arguments and negotiate with store personnel.
• The position will require extensive travel at certain times.
• Ability to work independently when out in the field, as well as working well with others.
• Frequent overnight stays away from home may be required as well as working the occasional weekend dependent on the business needs.
