Overview
Senior Analyst, Global Trade Merchandising is responsible for assortment planning and inventory replenishment for the Trade sales channel. The position requires collaboration with multiple cross-functional and cross-divisional teams. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for product assortments, new product planning, inventory fulfillment, order management, process improvement, reporting, and ad hoc regional projects that promote sales growth and assortment productivity, improve efficiency, increase turn, and streamline communication.
Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will partner with Regional Merchants to obtain 4-month out replenishment forecasts and upload them into Global Trade, summarize needs for Demand, Supply and Replenishment teams to ensure orders are being supported. He/She will review non-assorted sold order and special request file on a daily basis, backorders on a monthly basis, and ad hoc requests as needed, executing their fulfillment in a timely manner, partnering with the Demand, Supply, Replenishment and Operations teams on pullbacks, rebalances and order placement while keeping the appropriate Trade regional merchants updated on expected fulfillment dates and directing specific actions required by accounts, i.e. duplicate sku conversions. The ideal candidate will secure stock for new Trade locations, renovations, relocations, events and assortment changes via inventory reservations, rebalances, transfers or order placements, proactively work with regional merchants to provide guidance on initial orders 4-6 months in advance of opening, reporting on fulfillment rate through to check-out. This individual will upload, monitor and complete draft orders and special requests in Global Trade for accounts as needed. The Senior Analyst will review all accounts’ IR “Dropbox” replenishment orders monthly, identify skus to fulfill orders, work with cross-functional teams to rebalance stock, reserve inventory or place new orders, then upload skus into Global Trade and monitor transfers and deliveries to ensure fulfillment. He/She will liaise between central merchandising, Regional Merchandising, and Trade operations to address special requests, assortment or inventory concerns and resolve issues. This individual will coordinate cross-functional teams in fulfillment of Japan Trade Airline orders. The Senior Analyst will review unfilled IR orders and aged LH reserves in Global Trade and identify available skus to fulfill orders and cancel those that cannot be fulfilled based on accounts’ direction. He/She will conduct model reviews in 56 to achieve optimal stock levels that support assortments and sales trends.
The Senior Analyst will develop and execute Trade assortment strategies across all product categories to deliver sales growth for all regions; assess productivity of product categories and identify growth opportunities, collaborate with Regional Merchandising teams to ensure regional nuances are addressed. He/She will maintain Trade assortments, launch dates and store types in AA and APA and manage new product launches in line with margin objectives, company strategies, product availability, and planned life cycle changes. This individual will develop launch quantities for new products for incorporation into Demand’s worldwide orders being passed to Supply. The Senior Analyst will manage new item launches on Global Trade site by assessing available inventory and pushing out launches as needed. The ideal candidate will vet and communicate discounts for non-assorted skus that have been approved for sale. The Senior Analyst will approve Trade returns and communicate details to Demand and Replenishment teams. He/She will provide regular updates to Category Marketing teams on assortment strategies and changes to Trade. This individual will liaise with Global Omi Channel and Marketing teams to ensure Global Trade site is maintained and updated with new assets. The Senior Analyst will approve new assets and make recommendations as to what assets should be included in the site based on assortment strategy.
The Senior Analyst will participate in regional cross-functional conference calls, and contribute to Trade newsletters and conferences. He/She will utilize Business Objects to create reports to analyze sell-in and sell-through results and inventory levels, optimize launch quantity projections, evaluate assortment productivity and identify out of stock or backorder trends. This individual will provide analysis and assistance on ad hoc reports and projects. This individual will support greater collaboration across organization by promoting open lines of communication and fostering alignment with overarching Central Merchandising strategies and objectives.
The Senior Analyst will support Director on a variety of projects underway to streamline Trade operations, revamp processes, enhance systems, increase sales and improve customer service and experience. He/She will help analyze KPI’s to track results, review strategies and communicate progress. The ideal candidate will seek feedback from Central and Regional Merchandising teams in an effort to share best-practices, identify duplicative efforts and uncover inefficiencies and help develop new centrally-organized tools or processes to synchronize procedures across all regions.
