Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an entrepreneurial data-driven decision maker to join our growing Western Europe eCommerce organization within the adidas Group.
Working within the Consumer Experience and Site Merchandise team, they’ll be driving & executing our site merchandising experience, ensuring we’re adapting both our site & product presentation to the needs of our consumer base and inline with our wider business objectives.
The candidate should know how site merchandising can impact consumer behaviour, understanding what factors will drive interaction, conversion and sell-through. They’ll be expected to build out an evergreen content strategy across our key pages and strike a balance with commercial success and brand positioning within the region – and will have a team to help support them within that vision.
Our goal is to evolve the Site & Consumer Experience so that when a consumer leaves our touch point, we not only meeting their expectations, but we are exceeding them - this role is key for delivering on this goal.
Site Merchandising:
• Manage a pillar of our site merchandising team, ensuring we’re standardising site merchandise processes whilst adapting output to meet the needs of our consumer and business.
• Establish site playbooks for common merchandise processes, ensuring we can adapt to seasonal differences and different promotions and build out an optimisation flow for these tasks.
• Define product range optimisation strategy based on consumer demand, and establish Site Merch & Buyer process for flagging these topics.
• Map out and execute the optimization strategy for our adidas and Reebok site experience, ensuring we’re driving incremental growth across our entire range.
• Drive sell-thru through ongoing improvements to our configurable toolset, with a focus on onsite search, sorting rules, product placement, evergreen content, page content, third party vendors and site config
• Work with analytics to ensure optimization decisions and ongoing improvements can be tracked and validated on an ongoing basis – each experience pillar should have standardized reports as a reference on progress and opportunity.
• Map out wider template/functional changes that are needed to support and drive our adidas & Reebok site merchandise experience
• Work closely with Marketing Activation, CRM, Buying, Site Ops and SEO/SEM to ensure wider cross-channel campaigns are translating into tangible, logical site experiences
• Create monthly site merchandising calendars based off of the quarterly business priorities and ensure there are ongoing executive summaries giving visibility on plans and business output.
• Lead the charge for ensuring that our content strategy translates into a tangible output impacting consumers on both a category and a product level, directly with our brand team and/or our global creative teams.
Consumer & Site Optimization:
• Support in the ongoing optimization of our consumer experience across eCommerce both on and off-site
• Lead and support projects in optimization, utilizing consumer feedback and analytics date to help shape our requirements and execute against them

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Candidate should have experience managing a team
• Strong IT and numerical skills – On-line platform knowledge. Data driven mindset. If you do not have a passion for data, this role is not for you.
• AB/MVT testing experience
• Strong communication skills - you should be able to adapt your message to your audience, be it developers or executives
• Excellent stakeholder management. Ability to negotiate and influence will be paramount to success
• Fluent English (+ ideally one other European language)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce.
• BA / BS in Merchandising, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (Master’s / Graduate qualification a plus).
