Marketing Specialist - Wella

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to execute Marketing activities in North America. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing the budget process and overall spending tracking, full promotions approval process including payouts, customization, timelines and creative deliverables, and supporting the approval process for primary artwork. The ideal candidate will be a strong attention to detail, collaborative, highly organized, efficient, able to manage multiple projects and proactive approach to get things done.
Essential Functions:
• Lead brand path to purchase process. Maintain continuous budget planning and tracking, delivering month end closes and FY end close within ± 1% of target.
• Coordinate promotions planning and approval process with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure on time and correct execution. Own completion of promotion deployment materials for field sales.
• Own primary artwork process with Marketing approvals to meet initiative deadlines.
• Execute Brand trial driving campaigns through targeted sampling (stylists, influencers, and consumers), SWAG items
• Lead specific project work related to national sales meetings, commercial brand support projects, and product sampling.
• Various administrative tasks including faxing, filing and facilitating calls/meetings.
• Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
• 4 year college degree or a minimum 4 year experience in relevant marketing specialist role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related software skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Bias to action to deliver projects complete and on-time, with ability to motivate others to support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in the Beauty or Cosmetics industries
• Ideally, familiar with Adobe Professional and/or Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with SAP budget/artwork software
Work Environment:
• Work will be conducted in a standard office and manufacturing environment with associated distractions such as noise from telephones, keyboards, talking, paging systems, machinery and equipment. Temperatures are regulated by facilities management and are not within the direct control of the individual.
• Exposure to standard chemicals used in an office environment is expected and includes but is not limited to toner, glue and liquid paper, etc. Additionally, the incumbent may be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process of nail lacquers, lotions, etc.
