Purpose
Provide leadership and management of the adidas Group real estate portfolio and projects for the region Americas. In this role the employee is responsible for the overall management of the real estate business in the region. This includes theportfolio and transaction management, as well as owning all new construction projects for office buildings, warehouses/DC’s, showrooms, design centers, media rooms, etc.
Key Responsibilities
• Working in close cooperation with the regional and global adidas Group business managers, develop a strategic Real Estate Portfolio Plan for the region. Update the plan on a rolling two year basis.
• Develop and execute real estate projects (acquisitions, dispositions, relocations, new construction tc.) based on the strategic plan, portfolio reviews or on an ad hoc basis based on business needs.
• Direct the activities and monitor the performance of the project managers in multiple, simultaneous projects.
• Identify the need for additional internal and external resources (design, project management, facilities management, etc.) and direct their activities with the goal of minizing cost and depence on external resources.
• Working with the business units, develop the annual Capital Budget and Operating Budgets.
• Working with real estate services partner to maintain and further develop the real estate property database. Utilizing the real property database, anticipate portfolio events (lease expirations, options, terminations, etc.) and develop appropriate responses. Prepare and maintain a calendar of portfolio events.
• Develop key performance indicators for the portfolio, specifically, occupancy and financial metrics at a property level and portfolio level. Identify opportunities to improve the Group’s real estate position in the region.
• Provide an complete overview about the regional projects, drive projects and ensure delivery in cost and schedule.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and German
• Significant experience with budgeting, strategic planning, project management and project financial analysis
• Significant experience with portfolio management in a coprporate environment and real estate transactions in the region
• Significant understanding of construction related costs and the optimization of contracts and construction costs
• Comfortable in a matrixes organization with a variety of stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and has strong ability to take the initiative to achieve business goals.
• Significant experience in multi-project management
• Significant travel (25-40%) will be required
• Fluent in english and mandarin
Minimum Qualifications
1. University Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent experience
2. 10-12 years of experience in the management of corporate real estate properties and projects.
