Responsible for global top line planning for Childrenswear. Strong partner to President as well as head of Sales, Merchandising and VP Finance for financial analysis and support. Lead for process adherence in planning/wedge function. Manage development of reports for sales and planning support. In partnership with Merchandising, responsible for development and execution of seasonal assortments that both properly represent the brand at retail and meet sales and profit goals.
Account Planning:
• Partner with head of Sales & VP Finance to develop initial seasonal and annual budget.
• Partner with Merchandising to develop cluster packs to support the budget. Clearly communicate to Sales.
• Develop roll ups of total business by account, by corporation, and by division, communicate to Finance.
• Partner with President(s) to develop 3 year plan total & by account.
• Ensure pre and post market processes are defined, clearly communicated, and all deadlines met.
• Partner with VP Customer Service to validate in season forecasts.
• Partner with Sales Account Executives to ensure door counts by account cluster and lifestyle are current and up to date.
• Supervise the development of Sales/Planning support analysis:
• Penetration to total store
• Market Share
• Tiered sales results
• Weekly sales
• Concept selling
• Top 200 report
• Door count reports
• Partner with head of Sales to develop EOS strategy, roll up to total, and communicate to finance.
Merchandise Planning:
• In partnership with Merchandising and Planning, create seasonal assortments that meet US Wholesale needs by climate, cluster, tier. Responsible for input and maintenance in assortment planning system (IWEDGE PLUS)
• Work closely with Merchandising to ensure assortment has proper balance of rigs, fashion, and core product
• Responsible for compiling history as a basis for assortment
• Monitor concept performance versus plan and LY
• Provide recommendations for future assortment and immediate opportunities based on performance at retail
• Collaborate with Merchandising on Read/React & Chase opportunities, in partnership with Sales & Planning
• Publish weekly selling reports by concept and style
• 8+ years of planning experience
• Expert command of retail math concepts, applications and statistical analysis
• Computer proficiency in MS Office; experience with GFE+ a plus
• Strong organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
• Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
• Ability to develop realistic work plans, goals and schedules
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills
• Comfortable and confident in making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner
• Capable of nurturing strong cross-functional relationships
• Exemplify strong communication skills. Expect to deliver strong presentations which include financial information and product strategies. Able to tailor level of detail in presentations to reflect the audience (i.e. cross functional team or Senior Management)
• Possess excellent problem solving skills
