Position Summary:
Responsible for managing all accounting functions of the Company and its divisions, joint ventures, and affiliates, including recommending and implementing financial information reporting systems, cash flows, earnings, assets, liabilities and other financial results. The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a US based Corporate Finance team and ensuring that all financial activities are in line with Company goals and objectives, in conformity with International Accounting Standards, and complying with government regulations and covenant obligations. Additionally, this position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and recommending financial policies, procedures and internal controls for the global TMaG business.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including the year-end audit and the preparation of financial statements.
• Continuously improve processes and achieve efficiencies.
• Coordinate with senior management on accounting and reporting issues.
• Ensure timely submission of financial results to meet reporting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax regulations.
• Manage the current Treasury function in coordination with parent company
• Support set up of stand-alone treasury & tax functions at headquarters in Carlsbad.
• Manage the annual financial statement, 401k audits, internal audits, state tax audits.
• Develop and implement internal control process and ensure follow up and completion of all internal and external audit items for the Global TMaG entities.
• Develop, implement and maintain a Global TMaG policy manual.
• Ensures that all established policies, rules, regulations and agreements are followed. Ensures that all department processes and procedures are appropriately documented and complied with.
• Manage US and Canada accounting functions consisting of: GL, AP and Fixed Assets.
• Set up and manage monthly financial consolidation of TMaG’s legal entities.
• Oversee and manage the non-trade procurement function for the TMaG group of companies.
• Drive TMaG Global compliance with corporate finance standards (as defined by Finance & Policy Manual) including oversight of the global compliance function.
• Coordinate Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning including training of company staff and ensuring reporting requirements are met.
• Keep abreast of current accounting trends and practices in International Accounting Standards as well as GAAP and ensure US and Canada Accounting team’s technical knowledge in accounting is continuously developed toward the same goal.
• Ensure global compliance throughout the TMaG Group related to Corporate policies and internal control.
• Oversee and support efforts by Internal and External Audit for the Global TMaG group of companies
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
• Thorough understanding of TMaG business systems strongly preferred (especially Oracle EBS).
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Thrives in a fast paced environment across multiple international business units and currencies.
• Ability to work well with colleagues across functional lines & management levels.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision AND lead a small team.
• Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to constant improvement.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
• 7-10 years of public accounting experience with at least 5 years supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Golf industry or consumer products industry experience highly preferred.
• International business experience strongly preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant
• Experience with IAS/IFRS and GAAP
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience working with a diverse group

• Ability to work extended hours as necessary
• Occasional domestic and international travel required
• Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
