Kayser-Roth Corporation, the manufacturer and marketer of HUE legwear and intimate apparel, has an opening for a Retail Merchandiser in the Houston, TX area. Ideal candidate will be located near the Highway 8 Beltway on the west side of Houston.
Required:
This is a 28-hour a week position. Candidate must have own transportation and be able to service the entire assigned territory. Position contingent upon satisfactory drug test and background check.
Basic Function:
Drive sales by presenting merchandise in the best possible way. Establish strong relationships with store management and sales associates. Provide training to sales associates and customer assistance help. Communicate store insight to appropriate KR personnel.
Store Responsibilities:
• Stock and merchandise stores according to store guidelines, ensuring best presentation and location on the floor to maximize sales and customer interest.
• Establish strong relationships with store management and associates.
• Collaborate with district and store management on business trends and store needs.
• Provide sales associate training and customer service.
• Make sure promotions are set and markdowns are processed.
• Follow all store policies and procedures
Administrative Responsibilities:
• Communicate individual store inventory needs to Account Reps and Planners.
• Communicate product selling, competitive insight, customer shopping trends and general observations to Natl. Sales Director and Merchandiser Coordinator for monthly recap.
• Provide photos of store set-ups, visuals, and new competitive product to Natl. Sales Director, Merchandiser Coordinator, Account Reps and Planners.
• Check KR email at least once a week (if Part Time) or daily (if Full Time)
• Participate in monthly merchandiser conference call.
• Call in hours and mail in expense reports according to bi-weekly schedule.

Candidate would be responsible for providing the most effective product set up in all stores in the territory by obtaining the maximum amount of space and best location possible for our product. Provide customer service directly to the stores in the form of product set-up, sales associate training, brand awareness, consumer interaction, and establishing relationships with key store personnel. Computer knowledge of windows, excel, office outlook. Must have computer with windows version 2007 or later.
Ability to lift 20 lb boxes and climb ladder if necessary.
Valid drivers license and insurance and good driving record.
Ability to open and move boxes and stock store fixtures.
Able to speak and hear clearly in person and by telephone.
Able to see clearly to identify packaging and product.
Good color perception.
Able to move about store easily and to get in and out of car frequently and with ease.
Strong interpersonal skills to deal with multiple personalities with tact and courtesy.
Good judgment in responding to difficult decisions that may arise in stores
Required Experience:
Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 year’s experience in a retail environment and 2 years of merchandising experience.
