As the Global Partner Markets (GPM) Footwear Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating and driving the footwear merchandising strategy for our Partner Markets across the globe from Southeast Asia to Eastern Europe to Latin America.
Key accountabilities are as follows:
Strategic Merchandise Management
• Play a critical role in influencing and crafting the regional seasonal Go-To-Market strategies, including channel and market mapping and key account initiative development.
• Responsible for cultivating integrated, profitable, and relevant product assortments, which express the Converse vision in the marketplace
• Collaborate with the Footwear Director to represent GPM’s voice at all major product merchandising forums
• Brief the Global merchandising team on the seasonal product needs and provide a strong point of view on emerging market trends
Business Planning
• Establish financial plans by segment and classification by country
• Analyze sales data to identify and influence brand and volume drivers.
Converse Partner Management
• Interact directly with Converse Global Partners.
• Ensure all locally relevant opportunities are briefed in a timely manner and in line with the seasonal global direction.
• Plan and lead market visits with cross-functional partners to gain marketplace and consumer insight that can be interpreted into new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the partners on key seasonal stories and directed assortment plans
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years’ experience in apparel and/or footwear
• Strong communication skills; excellent command of English, both written and spoken required
• Bi-lingual in any language preferred
• Ability to influence at a variety of levels and across functions in a complex matrix organization and deliver results against tight timelines
• Domestic and Intl Travel: 15% of the time
