Manager, International Business Development & Global Brand Strategy, La Mer
Support the growth of the La Mer International division by managing strategic and business development projects across regions, markets and channels. Lead all brand strategy projects globally, oversee implementation of specific strategic initiatives. Conduct analysis and generate reporting and presentations. Collaborate effectively with Regional teams and Global departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
International Business Development (30%)
•Support execution of business development initiatives to achieve markets’ growth objectives
•Support new market launches and new channel development: develop business plans, financial model, and launch strategy, oversee key activities to facilitate successful execution
•Develop presentations to support roundtables, international retailer meetings, new hire orientation, budget meeting, brand immersions, and others as needed
•Maintain select international-led tools (Retail Operations Manual, New Market Launch Toolkit, Brand Presentation); lead creation of new tools as needed
•Monitor competitive and market trends and identify global best practices; share insights with relevant teams
Global Brand Strategy (30%)
•Lead annual Global Brand Strategy process, work with cross-functional teams to build consensus on strategic objectives, goals and operational plan. Create content for presentation to Leadership Team, clearly define process and ensure all deliverables are met
•Define and create strategy for big global business opportunities (e.g., strategic retailers, distribution channels, etc.). Partner with relevant teams to support execution
•Support process and content creation for the annual Innovation Strategy meeting
•Follow up on action items from all strategy-related meetings and initiatives
Business Analysis and Operational Support (25%)
•Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support annual brand strategy, budget process, market development projects, and other initiatives as needed
•Create, own and manage monthly financial reporting for international division. Identify areas of financial risk/opportunity and elevate to SVP/Director. Identify areas for improvement in reporting, proactively implement changes
•Support SVP/Director with reporting and analysis for market visits, retailer meetings, Senior Management presentations and other ad-hoc items as needed
Customer Service (15%)
•Represent the interests and needs of international markets within global
•React quickly to requests from Regions and markets, elevate issues accordingly
•Follow up with relevant teams on action items resulting from market visits and roundtables; liaise with markets to provide information in a timely manner
Qualifications
•Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
•5 years of related experience (preferred), at least 2 years in strategy consulting (required)
•Ability to think strategically and clearly define forward-looking vision
•Excellent analytical skills
•Ability to work well under pressure, effectively manage time, prioritize and multi-task
•Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (both written and verbal)
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Passion for La Mer and the global beauty industry
