Purpose and Scope:?? Support the Director with specific responsibilities related to Production Functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Associate Manager/ Production Assistant and their growth within the team. Strong skills in team development and retaining talent
• Leadership Skills:
◦ Strong ability to lead weekly Production and Seasonal Costing Meetings and guide design, merchandising and technical to meet production time lines and margin goals
• Margin Impact and Costing:
◦ Understanding of Corporate/Divisional Margin Goals
◦ Ability to analyze costing and guide team in areas to help meet the goal
◦ Strong vendor negotiation skills in reference to costing. Ability to break down costs and analyze were costs improvements could be found
◦ Ability to run Seasonal Costing Meetings with merchandising, production, design
• Work with overseas offices to communicate ok to buys within deadlines
• Influence, manage, and facilitate the timely approval of components to support on time deliveries
• Oversee all time and action calendars and charts
• Strong knowledge and skill in Calendar Management
• Understanding of garment construction and components
• Consistent assessment and communication of impact of change of cost, delivery, and product integrity
• Manage garment liabilities, along with Associate Materials Managers, by season and aid in utilizing these outstanding issues
• Daily communication with oversee Offices, Vendors and Accounts
• Oversee changes in quantities/styles while focusing on deliveries and cutting down on air shipments
• Work with Director on factory allocations
• Strong ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
• Experienced in managing and utilizing production operating systems.
Requirements:
• 4 Year College Degree Preferred or equivalent experience
• 5 – 7 years related job experience
• Math and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong sense of Teamwork
• Highly proficient in all computer skills - Word, Excel, Pivot Tables
