Manager Marketing Operations
Purpose:
The Manager MOPS will drive the Sales and Marketing Organizations in strategic planning and execution of samples inventory and delivery. The main focus of this position is to work with all necessary business partners to accurately execute the samples strategy and to drive their team to do the same.
Key Accountabilities:
• Own samples process end to end, ensuring we are operationally healthy and delivering to our customers on time.
• Create and monitor all deadlines relative to samples
• Implement communication plan to ensure appropriate information is provided on a regular basis to our stakeholders, partners and customers
• Drive change management to support samples strategy with sales and marketing
• Influence Marketing with the selection of their sample assortment and distribution plan
• Drive the partnership with the Sample Warehouse, Sales, Marketing, and Sourcing
• Make data driven decisions on tactical operations and long term strategies
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for Sales, Marketing and Finance in order to provide visibility into business performance and potential issues
• Analyze and improve sample processes, recommend process changes that will enable the improvement (enhanced information, improved productivity, decreased cost, increased sales) of the sample process and improve delivery
• Shares responsibility with team for all samples relevant ‘keep systems running’ tasks
• Define clearly defined roles and responsibilities for team
• Define and evaluate team members on targets and performance per Score program
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Strong continuous improvement / lean background
• Demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Access and Business Objects/Microstrategy
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
• Effective communicator with a customer-oriented manner to interact across department and with various levels of management
• Ability to work and make decisions independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to delegate work to team and drive priorities that support overall samples strategy
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
2. Minimum two to five years of experience in data management, reporting, financial planning or analysis
3. Industry specific experience preferred
4. Advanced MS Excel and Access skills required
