Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity to conceptualize, create, and develop product design across multiple categories (handbags, SLGs, Novelty, Tech, cold accessories, sunglasses) for the outlet channel.
The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who welcomes the opportunity to lead within a collaborative team environment, who can deliver against product and business goals, and who can embrace change and nurture growth as the outlet division develops.
• align quarterly assortment vision with executive team and lead the design team to develop a product line that is realized across all categories and in line with business expectations and brand aesthetic
• accountable for the success of the entire product design process including: raw material development and sourcing, in partnership with product development, market research, color palette direction, sketching, design, artwork design direction and approval, technical design, product review, and cost engineering
• create and manage multi-category product development timeline calendars ensuring that deadlines are met and design team is meeting deliverables while maintaining work-life balance
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or related field required.
• 8+ years related design experience across multiple brands, 5+ years of design leadership experience.
• PLM experience required
• Outlet experience a plus
• Expert knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color ways, sewing techniques, graphics and trim, raw materials, construction techniques, trends, and style.
• Strong computer knowledge, including adobe illustrator and strong hand sketching ability.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a successful design team
• Ability to manage multiple company priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Must love color and bold patterns
