Nike Supply Chain experts ensure that every year 900 million pieces of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right destination on time. That’s no easy task. The complex process involves more than 50 distribution centers, a network of thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores around the world. Supply Chain professionals from Laakdal, Belgium, to São Paulo, Brazil, make it happen. They constantly push for ways to make Nike’s supply chain faster, more efficient and more responsive to Nike’s always-changing consumer needs.
The Nike.com Global Expansion Digital Supply Chain Lead is an exciting role in the heart of Nike’s expanding Digital business, where the team is constantly defining the new frontiers of Digital, creating the most inspiring and premium consumer experience in the industry. This role is responsible for driving day-to-day supply chain operations and consumer-facing service results for the 20 non-EU markets serviced from Nike’s European Logistics Campus (ELC) in Laakdal, Belgium.
We are looking for a talented individual who is a strong team player, capable of leading a virtual team of cross-functional partners and vendors. Ideally, the candidate has a strong background in customer operations and supply chain. This role is seen as a key stepping stone to more senior supply chain roles within the European business. Key deliverables of the role are below:
• Manage day to day operations with a service mindset, starting with the consumer, in collaboration with key cross functional partners, mainly focused on:
• Vendor Management – Be part of the conversations with key partners, in particular ELC and last-mile partner to drive service and bring business insights
• Forecasting – Ensure the right operational forecast to drive capacity setting within the logistics network
• Event Management – Coordinate supply chain preparation for key product launches, sales and events to maximize service results
• Exception Management – Focus on fast issue resolution to limit consumer impact
• Focus on performance
• Understand and report on key Supply Chain KPIs, driving concrete actions for improvement
• Support development of increasingly sophisticated performance reporting tools
• Drive speed-to-market improvements and reliability initiatives to elevate the consumer experience
• Stabilize the daily operating model for this fast-growing segment of Nike’s Digital landscape
• Support development of new capabilities, providing key insights and analysis as operations SME
• Gain a deep understanding of your market and its online consumers, sharing market insights and adopting best practices from other markets
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
• Bachelor/Master Degree in Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain or likewise
• At least 3 years relevant work experience, with experience in the retail industry
• Excellent analytical skills which support a results-driven approach delivering operational excellence
• First class communication skills
• Influencing, leadership in a matrix organization
• Results driven, focused on problem solving
• Digital Supply Chain experience is a plus
