Sr. Director Digital e-Commerce Commercial Strategy - Wella/OPI

Job Summary:
The Director, Digital/E-commerce Commercial Strategy will develop and execute the digital monetization strategy for the Coty Salon Professional brands fully exploring and maximizing any and all profitable revenue generating opportunities for North America and via creating a “true digital ecosystem” to support our activities. The Senior Director Digital/E-com Commercial Strategy will lead a core multifunctional digital team and will work closely with marketing, sales, education and other multi-functional partners to achieve his/her objectives. Furthermore, She/He is going to partnering with the Global digital team to envision how the consumers/stylist digital behaviors are going to change and identifying the best strategy and structure to anticipate these changes and take disproportionate advantage from them .
Essential Functions:
• Continuously create and deliver against frontline digital sales and objectives.
• Quickly assess current digital capabilities and identify immediate intervention to accelerate the growth and move to a truly integrated “digital ecosystem”.
• Monitor market trends, develop relevant digital business insights, be aware of digital platform features, understand consumer behavior based on channel, explore new opportunities to grow the business. Channels include our direct-to-consumer Ecommerce stores, social networks, mobile social, bloggers, brand sites, etc.
• Drive creation and execution of overall digital commercial strategy for the brand portfolio.
• Step change CRM capabilities to perfectly interact with our stylists.
• Lead digital team creative brainstorming and status meetings.
• Manage relationships with outside vendors and agencies and oversee successful and timely launch of all digital projects & initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Global digital team to maximize synergies and better shape our future
• Objectively and accurately measure, analyze, optimize and report on marketing and sales performance based on budgets and goals (KPIs, market share, revenue, etc)
• Manager, develop, lead and empower the digital team in order to maximize their knowledge, relationships, performance and overall growth of the team.
• Ensure that Salon Professional remains on the forefront of evolving technology and digital trends related to driving sales.
RequiredQualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Digital Design or related discipline)
• 7+ years experience in online and digital marketing/commercial role with proven success in developing a profitable digital commercial strategy.
• Superior knowledge of technology & digital platforms including: Drupal, Tumblr, Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of digital retail sales strategies, customer relationship management (CRM) and email marketing, social media and paid advertising.
• Must be skilled in the operation variety of software programs: Microsoft office and sales platforms.
• Ability to measure, analyze, optimize and report on marketing and sales performance is required. Google Analytics certification (GAIT) is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of social media trends, digital landscape and the female consumer
• Creative and conceptual thinker, able to develop innovative solutions and drive creativity
• Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient computer knowledge – Mac, MS Office, Adobe Creative suite
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Digital Design or related discipline)
• Beauty industry experience
• Professional beauty experience is a plus
Work Environment:
• Work will be conducted in a standard office environment with associated distractions such as noise from telephones, keyboards, talking, paging systems, machinery and equipment. Temperatures are regulated by facilities management and are not within the direct control of the individual.
• Exposure to standard chemicals used in an office environment is expected and includes but is not limited to toner, glue and liquid paper, etc.
