Description
As a Process & Performance Excellence Director, you will bring experience from program management, process improvement, and organizational change management to drive successful implementation and operationalization of transformational efforts within the Technology portfolio of projects. Working alongside Technology executives and program leaders, you will establish and execute best-in-class implementation practices, standards, tools, and processes, enabling delivery of solutions that optimize the business of technology and boost value for Nike. Also, you’ll work alongside talented teams and help them improve performance through deliberate engagement with stakeholders and end users to ensure business readiness and adoption sustainability.
Your Role on the Team:
As a Process & Performance Excellence Director, you will be a leader within Nike Technology. In this role you will:
• Drive implementation and business adoption of:
◦ The program to reduce unit costs and optimize Technology division spend to support future growth initiatives.
◦ On-going investment in controls for Technology—particularly SaaS.
◦ Major initiatives within Technology’s Vendor Management Office (VMO), including ITO optimization.
• Partner with program leaders and peers across all Technology orgs to drive product, process and service improvements with direct ownership of all transition work.
• Contribute to the development and advancement of Technology Business Management capability across all Technology orgs.
• Anticipate internal and external business challenges and resistance to transformation; define and execute strategies to minimize risk and business disruption.
• Develop awareness and skills in Change management throughout the program/project teams at functional, geo and local levels.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Understand, articulate and communicate the business value of programs and projects within the portfolio for audiences across Technology and the business.
• Contribute to the development of strategy and adoption of an effective executive governance process of the Technology Portfolio to enable investment decisions and visibility to portfolio status and health.
• Drive implementation of efficient operating practices, tools and standard processes that enable hands-on management of the Technology Portfolio’s health.
• Prepare and analyze key portfolio data, trending, and reporting information to drive insights in the critical areas of scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and benefits realization.
• Use data to drive fact-based decision making within projects and the Technology portfolio.
• Identify and resolve complex technical, operational and organizational problems. Develop innovative services, processes or products that address current and future customer problems or needs.
• Provide consulting across Technology functions to executives and program and project leaders, as necessary, to drive understanding and adoption of processes and solutions.
• Perform work in support of Nike, Inc., and Technology brand plans; integrate company mission into daily work and planning.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Information Technology or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• 10-12 years’ broad business experience, preferably in the implementation of business change initiatives.
• 8-10 years’ experience in significant, large-scale process, organizational and system implementations required.
• Consulting background (preferably Big 4) with hands-on experience of the major process, organizational and technology systems implementation a plus.
• Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals.
• Highly analytical with the ability to establish processes that drive fact-based decision making.
• Experience collaborating and working successfully across the matrix and a wide range of NIKE and Technology management and teams.
• Strong knowledge of Technology/Operational business processes and organization culture.
• Expert-level understanding of Organizational Change Management concepts, models, and best practices.
• Proven track record of driving adoption through business benefits realization.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve the conflict.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in large-group facilitation of workshops and working sessions.
• High level of proficiency in using desktop tools for communication and analysis, including MS Office suite.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Data & Analytics and Vendor Management Office.
