POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Senior Marketing Manager, you will lead marketing strategies to foster awareness and usage of our Beauty Services and Classes, as well as other in-store initiatives in the U.S. and Canada —from makeovers, to skincare services, and in-store classes—that distinguishes the Sephora in-store experience.
• Store Marketing Campaigns:
◦ Develops 360-degree marketing plans for Sephora’s Beauty Servicesand other in-store initiatives, both for short term and long term time horizons including national launches, pilots and tests
◦ Initiates and writes multi-channel marketing briefs, including client insight articulation, Sephora differentiators, competitive landscape, key messages, and media mix
◦ Recommends uses for the marketing budget to support Services and Classes. Creates maximum value out of limited resources, testing and learning to validate our most effective tactics
◦ Communicates upwards and across the organization, influencing executive thinking on our service offerings as well as prioritizing the team’s marketing approach
• Product Management:
◦ Actively partners with the Store and Education teams as they develop their Services and Classes offerings
◦ Advises on naming, service descriptions, supporting collateral
◦ Partners on testing and rollout of new Services; identifies the best way to bring new Services “to market”
◦ Balances our corporate marketing aspirations with field needs and realities
◦ Monitors and measures results to identify best practices
• Services and Store Programs Steward
◦ Champions the Services mission to a wide range of internal stakeholders, gaining alignment and support from all parts of the organization and all levels of the team
◦ Coordinates with several partner teams (Creative, Events, PR, Digital, Social, Merchandising, Beauty Insider, Analytics, and Visual Merchandising) to a seamless client experience
◦ Works on specific marketing vehicles to support Services, including but not limited to printed collateral, signage, promotions and advertising
◦ Personally supervises marketing programs, from creative kickoffs to budget tracking to handoffs with our Stores partners

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of seven years of experience
• The ideal candidate has a mix of experience as a marketer and as a member of a retail organization; field/store experience is strongly preferred
• This role is an individual contributor, pioneering a new area of focus for the company. The ability to navigate a complex organization with limited resources is required.
• Experience managing 1-2 direct reports at the Manager and Assistant Manager levels
• A strong track record of cross-functional leadership and initiative is required.
• Ability to travel as required (approximately 10%)
• University degree or equivalent work experience
