The North Face: Brand Management Director (Urban Exploration and Mountain Lifestyle)
POSITION SUMMARY
As part of The North Face Marketing team, this position will work collaboratively on the overall marketing strategy, consumer understanding and marketing execution for our Mountain Lifestyle and Urban Exploration territories. It is a key strategic role that will manage a team of brand managers. The individual will be responsible for managing a high performing team and delivering long-term growth strategies, programs and product marketing for the brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works cohesively with the Global GMs of assigned territories to execute strategic direction, territory’s financial targets and global vision of the category to the marketplace.
• Drive both revenue growth and profitability, in connection with our five year strategic plan and financial forecast, through deep partnership with each TNF region and Regional GMs.
• Lead the development of the long term vision for UE/ML territories. Inspires team to think conceptually and develop big ideas while concurrently supporting the team on the process of bringing ideas to life.
• Design and implement marketing programs to support our key seasonal products.
• Develop relationships with product development, retail and marketing to ensure positive creative direction as a brand.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• BA in Business recommended; or 10+ years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Deep experience in the outdoor space with strong consumer understanding and industry relationships.
• Complete grasp of brand building and product marketing.
• Understanding of the culture of (specific core sports) participants.
• Proven track record of managing complex teams.
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to lead organization, articulate business strategy and present creative work.
• Ability to develop creative ideas that advertise and promote specific line segments to the target customer.
• Strong cultural interpersonal effectiveness.
• Demonstrated organization leadership in an entrepreneurial and/or large environment.
• Strong conflict resolution and decision making .
• Proven general management experience, preferably in a related industry.
• Strong balance between quantitative and qualitative management skills.
