Club Monaco: Assistant Buyer, Women's Ecommerce

Responsibilities
• Create product picture packets by category for weekly selling meeting, monthly product meeting, & quarterly hindsight meetings
• Oversee samples for weekly selling meetings, monthly product meetings, and OTB meetings
• Create and prints Monday business packets for Head of Buying
• Enter styles into buying tool during buying process
• Create style list of product to send to CFT
• Enters buys and regional pricing into GFE
• Runs any necessary weekly reporting
• Work closely with planning to enter & facilitate markdowns
• Manage weekly receipt reconciliation & PO updates
• Update and maintain the buy sheets on a weekly basis, distribute new versions to buying team
• Works closely with Allocation partner to troubleshoot any issues within receipt reconciliation
• Works closely with Ecom coordinate to help update site before flip
• Establishes cross-functional relationships to promote best practices and process adherence
• Build general understanding of buying functions, work closely with associate buyer to develop financial & analytical skillset. Obtain working knowledge of the OTB process
• Continue to refine understanding of the Club Monaco customer
• Build understanding of reporting & overall business trends. Analyze current season’s business
• Work closely with Associate merchant to hindsight past seasons
• Shop the competition regularly to understand trends, pricing, and promotional activity
• Visit stores on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to understand regional needs & develop relationships with store employees
• Helps to manage calendar for Head of Buying & expense reporting
Skills and Requirements
• Bachelors degree required
• Computer proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Previous management experience demonstrating strong leadership, team development and strong cross functional relationships
• An understanding of the fashion garment production process
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
• Excellent time management/project skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
• Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
• Comfortable and confident in making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner
• Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
