ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall Responsibilities:
• Be a content expert in the marketing team and use this knowledge to bring this content to life across digital, print, instore, email, loyalty and web channels
• Collaborate with Consumer Engagement, CRM and Retail Marketing to ensure that all key initiatives, promotions and brand messages are supported
• Co-ordinate global assets and content for use in-market
• Devise and create original content to support local priorities
• Support the marketing team to source third party partners to help Gap drive new customer acquisition and loyalty
• Produce creative and effective copy to support marketing campaigns, suitable for channel and aligned to brand guidelines
• Work with the creative Studio team and third party partners to ensure messages are accurate and designs are brand relevant and commercially strong
• Brief and co-ordinate translation across markets (UK, Ireland, France and Italy)
• Work with wider marketing specialists to interpret analytics to constantly develop and improve effectiveness of marketing content
• Ensure content requirements are delivered in a timely manor, working with the wider team to manage priorities
• Effectively collaborate with a high performing cross-functional marketing and creative team
Social:
• Work alongside the Social Media Executive and the wider consumer engagement team create an engaging content plan for all social media channels
• Develop editorial content that compliments brand assets and connects with local customers (where global may not have created something we require locally) including copy and photography
• Create attention grabbing, effective copy to maximise response rate
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to co-ordinate and execute new campaigns
CRM:
• Support CRM team in delivering a full seasonal calendar of CRM activity. This will include brand messages, events and commercial activity
• Partner with Gap Europe Online team to leverage email creative where relevant
• Write email content and briefs
• Write Gap+ content and writes briefs
• Write content and briefs for offline assets (Gap VIP, Gap+ in store signage).
• Manage content localisation and translation for France and Italy
• Manage the social media content aggregation in the Gap+ loyalty app
• Manage France and Italy microsites ensuring the site content is up-to-date seasonally and improvements are made
Ad hoc marketing
• General marketing support on ad hoc projects, assisting the marketing team to deliver marketing activity that builds brand awareness, acquires new customers to the brand and drives traffic and sales
IMPACT & SCOPE:
Delivers on-brand, effective and engaging customer-facing cross-channel marketing content for UK, Ireland, France and Italy
GUIDANCE/ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Working as part of the EU marketing team. Collaborates cross-functionally to gain best practice and support: EU online, Global brand team, PR, IM and Internal communications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years marketing and content experience in a similar role
Versatile commercial copywriting writing experience across short and medium-form for fashion or retail
Cross channel marketing experience including social and CRM
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Experience of working across international markets desirable but not essential (UK, France and Italy as focus)
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
An expressed understanding and interest in the Gap brand
Keen interest in fashion and retail
Ability to write engaging and commercially relevant marketing copy
Test and learn, results driven mentality
Flexible to a rapidly changing environment
Ability to communicate effectively & collaborate with other departments
Self motivated & takes initiative
Strong prioritisation skills
Fluent in English
Working knowledge of French and / or Italian advantageous but not essential
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum educational level:
Educated to degree level
Marketing or Journalism qualification would be advantageous
