JOB PURPOSE
This role is focussed on assisting with the daily operations required to execute content publishing for Burberry Marketing emails. Providing support to the teams who deliver the Burberry email campaigns to engage, educate and entertain the customers in order to fulfil specific marketing objectives.
Working on a broad range of projects from runway shows, new season launches and festive campaigns, you must be flexible, quick to adapt and comfortable with working on a range of tasks that range from email marketing, research, and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role supports the Email Marketing Team to ensure the delivery of the brand experience
on emails, increasing engagement through depth of experience.
General Duties:
• Daily administrative support
• Update marketing calendars on campaign channel plans
• Research and collate examples of competitor content marketing and email campaigns
• Research new ideas to engage customers
• Supporting the Email Team with ad-hoc projects and creative briefing for campaigns
• Track industry trends and best practice. Drive innovation to ensure that Burberry remains a leader in the digital world
• Support the digital marketing manager in the training and development of the digital marketing assistant
• Responsible for the deployment plan for both global and regional emails
• Manage vendor relationships, including ESP, ensuring we remain innovative by utilising our partners in the best way
Content Strategy and Planning:
• Working with the Email Marketing Manager ensuring efficient development, scheduling, localisation and deployment of marketing emails
• Write email briefs, testing of email creative and liaising with the Email Project Manager to facilitate delivery of the email creative
• Support in the planning of the email marketing plan, working closely with the Product marketing team on the key monthly focuses
• Regularly liaising with merchants to ensure that products being supported have sufficient stock levels
• Work closely with marketing, and creative team members to develop visual and copy assets that meet campaign requirements and objectives
• Responsible for communicating the email calendar to the business on a daily basis
Email Deployment Plan:
• Own campaign final approval, deployment and post deployment analytics
• Ensure the timely set-up of all BAU, evites, one time and automated campaigns. This includes the creation of data lists and target group, scheduling and deployment
Email Optimisation / Automation:
• Work hand in hand with various teams (Campaigns, IT, Product, Legal and customer insights) in a ESP migration project
• Lead on cross-channel retargeting campaigns and customer journeys
• Analyze data to make recommendation to improve KPI’s and help to drive decisions
• Lead on all data driven initiatives such as data capture, control groups, A/B testing
Reporting:
• Working closely with the Customer Insights team to identify opportunities within the customer database in order to target the right message to the right customer and devise the best customer journeys via the email channel
• Performance analysis – including Weekly, Monthly and ad hoc marketing reporting on email activity and effectiveness and communicating to relevant stakeholders
• Provide actionable recommendations
PERSONAL PROFILE
• Knowledge of luxury in a digital environment, how users interact with content and understand how consumers behave in a digital commerce environment.
• Exceptional understanding of web & digital technologies including capabilities of desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
• Experience with web analytics tools and data driven insights.
• Passion and in-depth understanding of fashion product knowledge and vocabulary
• Extensive email marketing experience with a background in working on email content planning and campaign management.
• Experience with ESP, marketing automation programmes and platforms
• Good understanding of CRM and data
• Highly numerate and analytical approach
• Personable, collaborative, confident, articulate
