Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
To be the face of the adidas brand and business within the football industry in North Europe, with a focus on the English Premier League’s top clubs, with the aim of scouting, recruiting and servicing the best football player portfolio in the industry.
To deliver an asset base that provides the requisite quality and specific individuals that meet brand KPI’s, including the highest quality of next generation football players.
To drive the activation of those individuals to position adidas, in modern media, as being the most innovative and inspirational brand to the creator consumer, with a focus on London as a key city for the brand’s strategic objectives. .
Key Responsibilities:
Functional:
• Ensure a consistent, knowledgeable and professional adidas presence at every club under his/her responsibility, visiting at least once every 7-10 days
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with players, support staff, scouts and managers at each club
• Identifying, recommending and securing senior and junior players that meet the brand KPI’s, in keeping with the CAF process, and liaising with line manager, team colleagues and other territory managers at all time.
• Attending regular games at each club, senior and academy, and supporting Scouting Managers
• Communicating the footwear roll-out plans ensuring all players support and promote the correct products at the right time on pitch
• Have complete ownership/accountability of assets in your region from product provision and Gift of Kit ensuring it is delivered on budget
• Attending all meetings between Player Management teams and different functions within adidas (i.e. Comms, Digital) to ensure consistency and contractual awareness
• Direct responsibility to maximize utilisation of players’ contractual promotional appearances, reactively and proactively seeking to activate players in collaboration with the UK and Global Brand Activation teams and with the UK SpoMa Activation Manager on cross-category plans and London Key City Strategy (DTC, Wholesale Retail, Brand Spaces) against specific social media KPI’s
• Manage all football Marketing Budgets to budget; Marketing Working Budget (MWB), Gift of kit (GOK) and Travel & Expenses (T&E), including the monitoring and approving all retainer and bonus invoices and uploading of player credit cards
• Accurately, and on time, input into all team documents to enable us to operate effectively as a team
• Regularly update key stakeholders internally regarding progress of specific projects
• Play a proactive role in the team environment including team meetings, ways of working and idea generation

Professional background:
• To have a strong knowledge of sport but football in particular
• To be able to communicate at all levels of the footballing spectrum, from Football Club owner and Chief Executive, through to the kit man at the training ground
• To be able to build and maintain relationships
• Experience in negotiating within the sporting arena
• Strong industry knowledge
• Strong cross-functional experience across marketing and sales
• Ability to effectively deliver and facilitate end to end activation campaigns
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects
• To work well independently
