Overview
The Director of Strategy has the unique opportunity to shape the trajectory of America’s most iconic luxury brand. Director is involved in key aspects of Tiffany strategy. The individual will be responsible for leading specific projects that will be identified by top management based on corporate priorities. The Director will also be responsible for identifying business opportunities, designing and conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, advocating those recommendations and helping to implement change. Successful individual will work with various functional groups to support business critical initiatives; including Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Supply Management, Quality Assurance, Global Customer Services, and Human Resources. The Director will lead discussions with and present to senior leaders.This individual may lead and coach team member(s), managing the day-to-day interactions with key internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Function as a strategic business partner
• Develop a deep knowledge of assigned project categories, forming a full understanding of business scope.
• Use subject matter expertise to provide innovative and entrepreneurial recommendations for business growth and development.
• Develop impactful relationships across all functional groups to establish credibility and make insightful and impactful assessments.
Project Management
• Responsible for full life cycle project management of assigned categories.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including research, analysis and assessment, recommendations and implementation.
• Partner with key internal stakeholders to regularly meet, provide updates and feedback.
Leadership and team development
• Work effectively at all levels of an organization - with internal partners, functional leaders and senior executives.
• Lead cross functional project meetings, capturing progress/milestones.
• Provide status updates and presentations to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Provide direction and feedback to direct report.
Fiscal Responsibility
• Manage responsibility for project budget: participating in budget planning, identifying project spend, tracking expenses to budget
Qualifications
• A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is required.
• Previous luxury retail experience.
• A minimum 5-7 years professional experience, including 4 years of experience in strategic consulting.
• Ideal candidate will have manager-level experience at a large consulting firm, with the ability to demonstrate analytical rigor, judgment and sophisticated concepting skills.
• Individual should have strong communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate influence across all levels.
• Requires strong organizational skills, with the ability to be nimble and agile in all aspects.
