Marketing Manager, L'Oreal Paris Hair Color
Orchestrate the launches and push growth of pillar on the Hair Color Marketing team using their own product, market and consumer expertise, to contribute to continued growth for the brand and the consumer relationship.
Business Management:
• Analyze business using business data (like Nielsen) and other market research to understand performance and develop insights and substantiate recommendations.
Provide guidance and context to assistant managers in business analysis and development
Understand and begin to articulate category knowledge; draw conclusions and develop plan.
Guide analysis and oversee development of presentation.
Comprehend and articulate category dynamics.
New Product Launches:
• Identify marketing opportunities through market and competitive analysis
Initiate research brief and participate with SPI
Assist with evaluation of formulas, display, launch communication and concept
Assist with the management of new product launches
Manage, anticipate and own timeline and artwork process
Strategy Planning:
• Generate business planning ideas and strategies
Under assistance of Supervisor, develop and present formal recommendation(s) for plans/strategies
Communicate the strategic content of the projects to direct reports and cross functional teams
Sales/ Trade Marketing:
• Develop selling presentation for Sales/Trade Marketing initiatives
Assist in coordinating account-specific activities
Financial P&L and Forecasting:
• Manage forecasting process
Manage budgets: pre-pack/promotions with cross functional teams & finance
Promotions/Advertising/ Media:
• Responsible for day-to-day agency needs
Draft media and creative briefs
Participate in advertising development process with category head. Assist in management of agency needs on a day-to-day basis.
Meeting Management:
• Prepare for and/or lead cross-functional team meetings to run the business: packaging, formula development, product development, Internet, etc.
Ownership of all brand presentation materials. Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and quality for:
• Deck writing / presentation
Competitive business analysis
The Cart & updates
Fact books
Brand information, COG sheets
Plan-o-gram
L’Oreal and competitive products
Existing product analysis- ”State of the Business” analysis
Management and Development of Others:
• Train/guide/coach the Assistant Manager / Marketing Assistant or Intern
Manage the interaction with support groups
Participate in HR related activities
Education/Experience:
• External BA. Must have at least 4-5 years of related marketing work experience.
External MBA. Must have at least 2-3 years of related marketing or consumer package goods work experience.
MBA TRACK = successful completion of, at least 9 months, of TRACK program integration and job training phases.
HBA Industry related marketing experience (consumer package goods or direct beauty)
Skills:
• PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
Demonstrated Project Management, Prioritization and Organization Skills
Working knowledge of and experience in brand management marketing
Rigorous quantitative data analysis skills with the ability to translate into conclusions and action-oriented planning
Flexibility
Affirmative sensitivity to the métier / appreciation for our business
Strategy development and brand planning exposure
Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)
