Global Merchandising Director – NIKE Sportswear Women’s Apparel
Description
Global Merchandising Director – NIKE Sportswear Women’s Apparel – NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Work with business and geography partners to create and execute balanced and profitable product assortments in the Women’s Apparel category in Beaverton, OR.
Will develop and drive the merchandising strategy to build the NIKE brand and realize retail goals for products.
Will oversee merchandising in multiple domestic and international markets.
Will lead the assortment planning process to ensure that the brand and revenue potential is maximized at the retail level.
Will direct product line plans and product assortments to achieve business goals.
Will establish and communicate metrics to ensure success of the product stories and assortments and to guide global geography merchandising teams.
Will provide feedback on product breadth and color for directed assortments and will communicate and confirm directed assortments to geography merchandising teams.
Will oversee the development and implementation of long-term strategic merchandising plans with cross-functional teams.
Will ensure alignment between the category vision and the global geography merchandising team’s execution of seasonal key concepts, initiatives, and stories.
Will collaborate with product teams to ensure that the product line plans align with assortment strategies.
Will be accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units.
Will manage the Women’s Apparel product assortments throughout the product creation process.
Will manage model / style / color investments to support key stories and directed assortments.
Will drive key seasonal stories across product types. Travel domestically and internationally 5%.
Will supervise 2 – 5 people.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, Merchandising, or Finance Experience: 5 years of overall progressive experience in merchandising management and retail management
Skills/Requirements:
5 years' experience
(1) directing product line plans and product assortments,
(2) overseeing the development and deployment of long-term strategic merchandising plans,
(3) managing the model / style / color investments to support stories and growth,
(4) analyzing trends and retail metrics within wholesale,
(5) developing a vision for women’s sportswear based upon strategic plans,
(6) utilizing key performance indicators to direct the course and make effective business decisions, and
(7) manage the creation of profitable product assortments.
