Director, Merchandise Planning, Licensed Chaps

To support Chaps licensed categories and licensed partnerships with respect to product strategy and business development. Key manager of financial data between Ralph Lauren and licensee partner with respect to wholesale shipment forecasts, retail metrics, product performance and statistics, and the relative performance of competitors and the retail trends in total.
• To support Chaps licensed businesses and Licensee partners with respect to product strategy/design/development/approval/market lifecycle
• Manages and drives weekly reporting of retail sales for each brand by category and by retailer account
• Manages and drives monthly reporting of wholesale shipments achieved and forecast for balance of FY
• Provides data, analysis, and insight to PRL internal management team with respect to wholesale & retail performance of all brands / categories
• Provides comparative analysis & recommendations for product assortment to merchandising team at both PRL and the licensee partners
• Work with each business to develop seasonal line plans. Analyze and assess current seasonal line productivity in collaboration with licensee
• Work with design to meet business requirements for the respective product categories
• Identify fabrication, pricing and modeling needs to create an assortment based on sales analysis & direction from design
• Use key retailer strategy, metrics and feedback to identify categories for distortion
• College degree
• Minimum 6 years of experience in related area
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
• Extremely organized and detailed. Can multitask in fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills
