Job Function/Purpose
This key position on the E-Commerce team is to assist in the management of a very aggressive customer growth opportunity on Online Marketplaces, (i.e. eBay, Jet.com, Walmart Marketplace). This role will work with a cross-functional team to define, build, launch and achieve overall objectives set for e-commerce businesses. This individual will be responsible for the analytics, tracking and tactical execution in driving well thought-out sales and marketing strategies across a complex platform of categories delivering accelerated sales and profit growth.
Primary Accountabilities:
• Manage online Marketplace assortment by channel with focus on evaluating and optimizing offerings to drive sales and profitability.
• Develop new business relationships in order to drive business outside our traditional channels. The individual must be able to:
◦ Identify, compile and filter data from various sources internally and externally
◦ Evaluate the data to form conclusions
◦ Turn the conclusions into a well thought out strategic road map
◦ Communicate, drive and execute the strategic road map into incremental profit and growth
• Accountability for continuous and comprehensive sales action plans to achieve goals – display ability to execute short term and long term opportunities in managing results.
• Key focus on product portfolio management, including new product concepts, SKU rationalization and style discontinuations.
Responsibilities:
Business Management & Strategic Direction
• This role is responsible for providing support to the Senior Manager and HBI cross-functional teams supporting the E-commerce team business, with a focus to drive topline sales.
• This individual must be analytical, a self-starter, a collaborator, a good communicator and have a strong desire to learn the business.
• Must quickly develop an understanding of Omni Channel processes, strategies and financial metrics to communicate and collaborate with Hanesbrands business partners to drive incremental business.
Consumer Marketing
• Serve as a communication link between the customer and the HBI internal team – Senior Manager, customer operations, customer service, marketing and merchandising and other cross functional areas on program execution.
• Exhibits understanding of the marketing and sales process with the ability to communicate and execute against key strategies to drive both sales and profitability.
Business Execution
• Work with merchants to procure budget and warehouse capacity for upcoming assortment additions.
• Assist in the preparation of business reviews with cross functional Hanesbrands teams, including but not limited to, marketing, forecasting, planning, customer service, and design/merchandising.
• Tracking of the trade and budget plans to effectively deliver growth and profit.
• Tracking of annual financial and sales plans in conjunction with Sr. Manager
• Gain knowledge of specific brands, product categories, assigned accounts and retail.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) required
• Prefer 5+ years of previous sales or marketing experience with major retailer partners (major retailer experience preferred); previous e-commerce and apparel experience a plus
• Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with exceptional reporting capabilities
• Proven ability as a “thinker”, a “strategist” and a “creative mind” in order to think outside the box to be a solution provider.
• Strong cross functional leadership skills; ability to manage complex projects effectively.
• Understanding of retail math and metrics
• Exhibits leadership and management skills, along with strong problem solving and communication abilities.
• Demonstrates effectiveness in management of multiple projects
• Proven ability to take initiative and possess strong sense of urgency
• Individual needs to have deep passion for learning with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Exceptional computer skills required: MS Office (strong Excel and PowerPoint skills)
